OK sorted - disaster averted! I hacked at the black lug with my penknife, just a little off each side forming a slight wedge (so as to keep it tight enough - and it's gone on fine. If others have this, do go carefully, as the coloured plastic is brittle, I have a hairline crack now, but will be fine...

twisting switch onto arcade button

The twist-to-lock mounting of the microswitch holder onto the coloured (mine is green) arcade button is very stiff, I think I'm going to need to file or shave down the black plastic L shaped lug - is it just me?

What about a short general introduction to programming on the pi? I was thinking more along the lines of Python or C rather than scratch. I'd like to see this too, as an ex programmer, a quick up to speed on Python and/or C would be really interesting. Also I want to get my daughter interested in p...
