Re: Compute Module 3

Thanks for the quick replay.

I have ran through your instructions and i now have my screen working with the CM3.

I notice that in the file that you provided the CM1 still does not have the settings included.
Is there a reason why these settings are not in the dt-blob.bin by default?

Compute Module 3

I am having trouble getting a Compute Module 3 to connect to the official Display The instructions on the website do not work for the CM3 https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/computemodule/cmio-display.md I assume that this is because this is for the CM1. We have got the CM1 working wi...

Re: CM3

So this morning we were excited about testing a CM3, the Farnell order arrived nice and early.

Opened the box and we had been sent CM3L not CM3

Order now going back to Farnell and buying form RS as Farnell are out of stock. :)

Re: CM3

It would appear that the CM3, CM3L and CM3 Dev kit have all now gone from the farnell website.
They show in the search bar as you are typing but on clicking on them it says it cant find any matching products.

So maybe we need to wait a bit longer :)

Re: CM3

Hi Guys I just thought that you would like to know that today I found the CM3 on Farnell. They are not available yet but they are awaiting delivery. http://uk.farnell.com/raspberry-pi/rpi-compute3/raspberry-pi-compute-module-3/dp/2675716?exaMfpn=true&categoryId=&searchRef=SearchLookAhead&searchView=...

Re: CM3

I have been looking for news of the Compute module 3 since Eben eluded to it when he released the PI 3. We are developing a new product and have designed around a compute module, it would be good get the boost in performance that the CM3 will have.

Is there an update on a release date for this?

Re: Compute module boot time

Thanks for all of the input from everyone on this issue. I found that adding hdmi_edid_file=1 to my config.txt did resolve the issue. However I have now changed my hardware design as per the previous link to add a pull up on the HDMI SDA line. Once i added this wire i no longer needed to have the en...

Re: Compute module boot time

My power supplies will come up as specified, "highest first then in descending order".
They are daisy chained together with 3 voltage regulators, 12V to 5V, 5V to 3.3V, 3.3V to 1.8V.

I have also checked that we have all of the correct voltages as per the compute module hardware design guide.

Compute module boot time

Hi, We have manufactured our own base board for the Compute module and are seeing long boot time prior to the splash screen being shown. Our base board is connecting the Official raspberry pi 7" display to the compute along with a LAN9514 and an audio chip. If I plug one of the programmed compute mo...
