Wifi Issue

Recently purchased a Pi 3, setup with NOOBS/Raspian, plugged in Ethernet and ran updates. Ethernet gets a IP of 192.168.2.7 and WiFi gets 192.168.2.1. I cannot connect to a web page using WiFi only. I am wondering if it is due to the IP it is assigning of 192.168.2.1 which is my router IP or if it's...

I'm on 1.9, shows the WiFi icon in the upper right hand corner, I select my SSID and enter in my key. Shows connection and when I run ifconfig it shows my IP in wlan0 (192.168.2.1/24) but still not able to connect when I open a browser. (Page cannot display)

Will the Pi only work on certain channels? I usually have mine set to 9 to avoid congestion.
