Re: [solved] prevent OpenELEC5/Kodi14 from auto-mount partitions

Partitions without labels: In my case the partitions I did not want to automount did not have a label set. As an alternative way of identificating this partitions, you can use their "UUID" (see output of the command blkid ). Instead of adding the UUID to the line startign with ENV{ID_FS_LABEL} , yo...

Re: Quake2 (yamagi based port)

I managed to make Pickles code compile on my Raspberry Pi 3 (raspbian 9 stretch), but unfortunately the screen stays black after launching the executeable. I imported the sources and my modifications to github, maybe someone else has better luck with this. Any help would be appreciated. src: https:/...

Re: MMAL Motion - tuning & optimisations

Hello dozencrows, thank you for the suggestion to compile it myself. I even managed to compile it on my raspberry pi, but ran into some error later. Here is what I did: sudo apt-get install git cmake sudo apt-get install libjpeg62-turbo libjpeg62-turbo-dev libavformat56 libavformat-dev libavcodec56 ...

Re: MMAL Motion - tuning & optimisations

Hello dozencrows, now the new raspbian based on debian jessie has been released, a few of motions dependencies are only available in newer versions. This leads to the fact that your per-built motion binary will no longer start on up-to-date raspbian systems. The following error messages are shown: /...

Hello Smithers,

will it only work on 32 gb micro sd cards? Or is a script for resizing the partitions included?

Inverted Mount: special jumper wires needed

I wanna follow the inverted mount instructions posted here in order to get a more compact size and to protect sensitive components on the raspi-board. The only problem is the size of the jumper wire connectors: they are too large and would not fit between the pi and the display board. The guide advi...

Re: Which SD card/Usb stick is best for raspbmc?

According to your screenshots you did the speedtests on a windows system? In order to get more appropiate resuslts you shuold test under realistic conditions: on the rasperry pi. How can you be sure that a windows PC works exactly the same regarding I/O as the rpi?

Re: Openelec+Bluetooth+Wii verzweiflung

Re: ssh: Could not load host key

Hello jojopi thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately I already deleted regen_ssh_keys.log while trying to find a solution to my problem. But there was nothing important in there, just 2 or 3 lines. But here is the output of the other two commands: [email protected] ~ $ sudo ssh-keygen -lf /et...

ssh: Could not load host key

Hi there, I am somewhat "stuck" with setting up my raspberry pi. ssh-server refuses to start up. I see the following output: [email protected] ~ $ sudo service ssh restart Could not load host key: /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key Could not load host key: /etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key Could not load host key: /etc...

Re: New PSU... but "repeated keypresses" problem persists

I have got the same issue. I am using the Power Supply which was recommended for my Raspberry Pi order via the RS Components online store. So I think the Power Supply *should* be fine. I tried two different Keyboards: An old white Apple Keyboard with an integrated 2-port USB 1.1 Hub and the Microsof...
