Re: WiFi instability with 802.11n routers

Here's some feedback from the linux-wireless mailing list . To summarize the important points: AP mode and Bluetooth should not be used at the same time (though station mode is fine), and limiting the Wi-Fi bit rate of the BCM34348 is not implemented. I've worked around the issue by disabling the Bl...

WiFi instability with 802.11n routers

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3 as the platform for a project whose requirements include acting as a WiFi access point as well as connecting to a wide variety of WiFi routers. Unfortunately, the WiFi connectivity is very unstable. The most prominent symptom is frequent disassociations from the router, of...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 - AP/Client

Dougie, can you elaborate on why the AP and client modes can't be used at the same time? My experience with the Pi 3 has been that it's possible, but the performance is terrible, as both the access point and the client connection are frequently lost. The symptoms look a lot like the power management...

Re: Pi 3 as wiireless client and wireless AP?

For what it's worth, I don't have this issue on the Utilite, which uses a Marvell 88W8787 chipset, although I don't know if that's an exception or the norm for this sort of hardware.

Re: Pi 3 as wiireless client and wireless AP?

Does anyone know if it's possible for the access point to use a different channel than the connected network? My Pi 3 refuses to connect to, for example, a network on channel 11 if hostapd is using channel 1. I'd prefer not to install another dongle, nor to reconfigure hostapd on the fly, if it can ...
