Re: Adding an ENC28J60 Ethernet module - instructions
Hi MrBar, I've not used it for a while, it was only tried on an original pi model b (which I still have around 80 of left!). From memory it only used SPI and a select gpio, so any model should work. I didn't mention VPN but it should just appear as another Ethernet port. I prefer USR-ES1 for new pro...

Re: 16X2 Only show blocks! Help please
Slightly off topic but have you seen i2c LCD adapters, just have to wire up SDA & SCL, can use them with 3.3v versions of the LCD1602 display meaning less components and there is a contrast pot on the i2c adapter. Those are even available as an add-on. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IIC-I2C-Serial-1...

Re: 9$ SBC from Next Thing
I think the pertinent comment in that blog posting was "So it's not a $9 computer with $20 shipping, it's a $20 dollar computer with $9 shipping". Whatever way you stir that it comes out as a $29 computer that's still kickstarter vapourhardware. It is only $29 for those who have to pay $2...

Re: enc28j60 on pi Zero
I have a couple of these bare boards left, just need to plug in a cheap enc28j60 module, solder on pin headers / socket and should work on a Pi zero too!

Re: 5v from 12v power supply
Google "UBEC", if you use one, check the output voltage, you might need to add a diode to drop voltage. Think that these can handle upto 3A and cheap,

Re: Arduino + Raspberry Pi connection through 3.3 and relay?
Like others have said, it is possible to read an arduino output using a 2 resistor voltage divider, (see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltage_divider ), you can use something like Z1:2K and Z2:3.3K to do the job, Vin would be the Arduino output and Vout the RPi gpio pin. For the pcb I made ( http...
Re: CAN Board
Hi David,
Do you have a particular model that you are after ?
I think I've got an mcp2515 board and also an obd cable both unused somewhere around ( From memory you might need to level shift when interfacing to Raspberry Pi ).

Re: Adding an ENC28J60 Ethernet module - instructions
I prototyped up a little pcb which I've tested on a model b raspberry pi, downloaded the latest NOOBS 1.9 and added the line : dtoverlay=enc28j60 to /boot/config.txt, rebooted and it worked first time, VERY easy to setup ! Anyway, got a few spare boards, if anyone is interested let me know. I can so...

Hi Carl,
How are you powering down ?
Asking as you might have problems rebooting if you're just switching the power off rather than doing a shutdown !
@ecotec, you beat me to it...

I2C / Nano / LCD / Real Time Clock
Hi, I'm looking for some comments on a board I've created which links a Raspberry Pi and Arduino Nano, it uses a barrel connector for power supplied (I prefer these as have spare adapters lying around but not so many micro usb), it's protected against voltage being applied the wrong way around, take...

8GB noobs sd cards
Used to be able to buy 8GB ones at swag.raspberrypi.org for £4 + postage, but can't find a link that works any longer ? https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/buy-an-8gb-noobs-sd-card-for-5/ http://swag.raspberrypi.org/collections/frontpage/products/noobs-8gb-sd-card Did these get withdrawn ?
