Capacitive Touch Piano with Neopixels: Source Code

I'd like to share a Pi project I built for Halloween. Using a 12-key capacitive touch sensor, I was able to use 12 pumpkins as piano keys that play high quality synthesized sound. The pumpkins also light up a section of the neopixel string. The sensor was accurate enough to perform fast songs with m...

Re: IR barrier

Here is the code I used to generate a 38khz IR signal for my IR beam break sensor. This is JavaScript, using the node.js wiring-pi library, but it should be the same as wiring-pi in other languages. const wpi = require('wiring-pi'); wpi.setup('gpio'); //define pins var led = 18; //setup pin modes wp...

Re: IR barrier

Great work gr3go,

I am also working on a beam break sensor. I have a VISHAY TSSP4038 and I am trying to generate a 38khz IR signal. Could you please share a code snippet of how you used wiring pi, or at least describe what PWM functions you used? Thanks.

Re: How to install Java 8 on Raspbian?

OK, here's what I did to fix this, total linux noob but essentially I had to just change the default auto choice of java and javac for the raspberry pi (one of them was still set to the jdk6). I did so following this guide http://www.rpiblog.com/2014/03/installing-oracle-jdk-8-on-raspberry-pi.html ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 -> iBeacon

I have the same issue. When I do the same steps to broadcast an iBeacon with hciconfig, I see the same exact output, but I can't find any iBeacons with my phone.
