Are we sure it's EDID and not resolution or refresh rate? I get the same result whether I force the display type and resolution or allow it to be detected through EDID. I'm using a standard 1920x1080 monitor.

Has anyone figured out why it's not working for everyone with the Raspberry Pi 3? I get the Rainbow on boot, then the display just powers down. Is anyone able to use the experimental OpenGL driver with the latest kernel on a Raspberry Pi 3? I just get the Rainbow of Death (power supply is 2.5amp, no peripherals attached).
