Re: Weather Station now running

My sd card die today, after 6 months of continuous running. I could reformat it, but don't want to risk it, so I have setup a new sd card. My backups are a bit random, so i have lost some data at http://www.weather.dragontail.co.uk . Note to self - setup crontab to upload raw files to web site ever...

Your pressure readings look very high. Are you sure the correction for altitude is correct ?

P.S. My Pi is also happily tweeting: https://twitter.com/CNSmet.

Re: Farnell no longer ships to France

Hello Will, The link to the French Farnell page is a good find; I'll check that out next time I am looking to increase my RasPi collection and will also point potential purchasers in that direction. In my experience the French people I know who are interested in the Raspberry Pi are more put off by ...

Re: Farnell no longer ships to France

I ordered one from Tandy last Monday evening and received it in the west of France today (Monday). It was adequately packed in a small cardboard box inside a padded envelope and sent by post (airmail). It is a Farnell unit and is working perfectly with the SD card that was running in my first RasPi....

That could be interesting. They are charging £5 for delivery making a total of £32.99; approximately €41.25.

Re: Farnell no longer ships to France

Hello,

Don't you think that price is unreasonably high, especially the postage ? I paid less that €40 from RS, though I do realise that they currently have a rather long lead time.

Re: Weather Station now running

Thats a very good question. I don't know either. I am running a Clean image of rasbian wheezy. I let it install and then began running this weatherstation setup from command line. I too am running Wheezy and it would seem that typing "edit" from command line launches vim as the editor. I go along w...

Re: Weather Station

My experience with the USB hanging issue is that is has happened to me once since end July when I got pywws running on the Pi. As kenmc mentioned, the cure is to power cycle the display panel by removing and re-inserting its batteries. I am running the hourly.py script every 20 minutes and I suppose...

Re: Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

Having expressed interest on the 29th Feb and placed the order (#21xxx) on 19th May, I finally received my RasPi today. I sent quite a few emails to RS, two of which elicited a "we will look into it" response with no further news. I was starting to lose all hope but sent yet another email this week ...

This week we start from order number 39,451, and aim to reach 51,500 by the end of the week. There are still a small number of outstanding deliver...

DHL has a cargo facility at East Midlands Airport, so with a bit of luck your Pi is already winging its way over the Atlantic.
