Re: Install Gentoo on rpi2 but /usr/src is empty

I solved these issues by : Using another computer with Git to pull in a pre-compiled Kernel and matching Source Code. Then copied it all across to the Raspberry. compiling git on the raspberry caused problems, which is why I did it on another computer. The omap and other useless drivers problems can...

Re: Gentoo for raspberry pi 3

Yes I have installed Gentoo on a Raspberry Pi 3. The recipe uses NOOBS and Raspbian for a Dual Boot. Raspbian is used to do a "normal" install and as a Rescue Disc. stage3-raspberry-pi-2.tar.bz2 The kernel is raspberry pi foundation. At present, no 64-bit kernels are available, or 64-bit stage-3. Re: Raspberry Pi 2

I did compile a stage-3 specific for the hardware acceleration unit "neon" and to use the "vfpv4" floating point unit. This page : http://ukginger.net/Gentoo2/install-pi2too-6-base.html The File is armv7a_neonvfpv4_hardfp-20160320 Gentoo Generic CFLAGS="-02 -pipe -march=armv7-a -mfpu= vfpv3 -mfloat-...

Re: Funtoo and RPi

With a Raspberry Pi 2 and an external USB Hardrive it took me 2 days using Catalyst (Metro is broken) to compile a stage-3.

Re: Raspberry Pi 2

The way I did it, was very quick and simple. I wrote instructions, to help others who just want Gentoo and not a PhD in all things Raspbian. http://ukginger.net/Gentoo2/ In short, Raspbian is still on the SD Card, Gentoo is on an external USB Hardrive... CHOST = armv7a-hardfloat Kernel is simply pul...
