Re: Multimedia GUI for cars

Pairing with bluetooth must be possible. A simple code allows us to interface with arduino using bluetooth, RPI you'll just need a shell script. Btw I'm really curious how will the pico projector idea work? I mean won't the image just pass through the screen because its essentially transparent, how ...

Re: Locale errors with tightvnc

What locale is your host computer (from where you're logged in) using? It could be that the Pi is trying to use the same locale, but fails. See e.g. http://askubuntu.com/questions/144235/locale-variables-have-no-effect-in-remote-shell-perl-warning-setting-locale-f BTW did you make any changes to /e...

Install bumpy and virtualenv

Is there a way that it doesn't get affected by locale? Someway I can circumvent the installation, because my locale settings are messed up and don't get right. I've tried everything out there.

PS I'm running it headless, could that be the reason?

Re: Locale errors with tightvnc

Hey is this problem related to the fact that I'm running headless?
I started from the scratch again, But then when I upgrade it using "sudo apt-get upgrade", this error gets generated.

Re: Noob want to try some stuff

Instead of going for a USB Camera, you may use the Pi cam.
I've been a 2 day user to both the board and the camera, and I think the picture quality is good enough.

Pi Camera Board or A phone?

Hey! I'm a newbie to the Pi but I plan to work with OpenCV and other Image Processing softwares as I discover them.

My question is should I buy the Pi Camera Board or Can I use my iPhone 5s along with it or a Friend's Samsung Galaxy Grand as a camera?

Re: Too early to buy?

One more thing that I've just realised. I'll have to buy a monitor along with it as well.
Or is there any other way to use my laptop screen as an output for it?
I have a Macbook pro (2015, 13 inches)
