Can I change screen resolution with my Pi?

I have just changed the monitor I use with my Raspberry Pi 3. When I first connected it the Raspbian GUI filled the whole screen and looked fine. The second time I turned it on the screen display had changed to 640x480 resolution with everything enlarged and certain controls hidden off screen. I tri...

Re: Are you a Raspberry Pi-oneer?

I declare this Pole null & Void,, No notification that Foundation members can enter Well, as the instigator of this thread, there is no Pole - or poll - because I removed it due to adverse criticism and, as a newbie, I'm not sure what a Foundation member is - unless you're from that Asimov trilogy....

Are you a Raspberry Pi-oneer?

When did you buy your first Raspberry Pi? With the Pi now four years old anyone who bought theirs back those far off days must surely be considered a true Pi-oneer by now. So, just for fun, let's see who was there when it all began and who has just joined the party (my hand is up).

Re: New Official Pi Case: First impressions

This sounds like the case I got with my Pi3 just over a week ago. I wasn't sure it was an official case because of some of the changes you mentioned but chiefly because when I got a Sense HAT this week I couldn't fit the Pi3 with the HAT mounted into the case. This was strange because I had seen a P...

Re: How many Pi's do you own?

I think RS, Farnell and ThePiHut own more than me. I stopped counting at about 15 and must surely have >30 by now. Actually I'm scared to count them and not sure if I could track them all down anyway. They're probably hiding in dark corners, breeding and planning to take over the world! Be af...

Bent pins

Any tips for straightening bend GPIO pins caused by the forceful removal of a Sense Hat board? The board is currently in place but I fear removing it again and doing even more damage.

Re: How many Pi's do you own?

Seeing as it's over two years since the last post in this thread I thought it might be interesting to try and reactivate it in the light of new models and the increasing popularity of the Raspberry Pi platform. So, in March 2016, how many Raspberry Pis do you own? I'm just awaiting delivery of my se...

I'm really glad to hear that the event went well :-) Thanks Dom! I'm glad I go to the Chelmsford ones, and not just because all the library staff know me :)
Yes, I wondered about that. The Guildford Jam is part of a council-organised 'Geek Week' so why are they charging for it?
