In the BLOG comments around post 90, Simon Long mentions this issue and workaround:

Thank you! Now we know two workarounds and that a bug fix is on the way. :)

No GUI Dialog - Set Keyboard / Localisation / Raspberry Pi Configuration

Clicking the Set Keyboard button in the Localisation tab in the Raspberry Pi Configuration dialog does nothing in Raspbian Stretch with Desktop (2017-08-16). This is on a Raspberry Pi 3. Previous versions of Raspbian worked without any issues. It seems to be a regression. Has anyone else experienced...

Re: Navio 2 and 4g LTE help!

The need to Port Forward is independent of the decision to purchase a Static Public IP Address or use a Dynamic DNS service. According to the MIFI 4G LTE GLOBAL USB MODEM U620L documentation, Port Forwarding is not an option so you'll need a Router between it and the Raspberry Pi to handle the Port ...

Re: Accessing SSH outside local network

If I subscribe to DynDNS, do I have to still change port forwarding on my router? Yes. Dyn (a.k.a. DynDNS) will help to direct traffic to your Public IP Address, which essentially means to your modem and directly connected router. Port forwarding on your router will direct traffic on a specific por...

No-IP provides free Dynamic DNS services and may be the largest to do so. They have over 20 million users.

Re: SSH into Pi from outside home network

Ideally, your Raspberry Pi will be connected to your router and it will be connected to your modem. In that sequence, wired or wireless, the port forwarding is configured in your router to send incoming packets on a specific port to the fixed IP address of your Raspberry Pi. It sounds like you might...

Re: Raspbian Jessie (64bit) for RPi3?

64-bit Raspbian optimized for ARMv8 may provide enough of a performance boost to justify the effort of maintaining it but we will not know until it is built and thoroughly benchmarked on a Raspberry Pi 3. Hopefully those with the skills to build that operating system will do so soon. :D
