Re: Help! MPD plays files with breaks

I am using the Debian wheezy beta image (18-6-2012) and did apt-get update and apt-get upgrade today... I have been away for a month and didn't see until now that there is a new debian wheezy online. Do you think that's the problem? If so,I will try later. Actually, I spent a lot of time configuring...

Help! MPD plays files with breaks

Dear Raspberry Pi community :-) once again I would ask you for help: I installed MPD to play my music via a usb soundcard (Behringer UCA202) However, very often the Pi doesn't play the files properly, during one song occur many short breaks. (about half a second long) "top" tells me, that CPU and RA...

Anyway, thanks for your help :-)

Raspbian and CUPS

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with my Raspberry Pi, the Raspbian Image and Cups. I installed cups on the pi with sudo apt-get install cups and after installing it I entered sudo cupsctl --share-printers --remote-admin --remote-printers to make the printer accessible via network and to administra...

Re: 2-port-to-1 USB adapter for power-hungry peripherals?

another possibility would be such a device: http://www.amazon.de/Belkin-USB-Netzadapter-iPod-iPhone/dp/B003DN3API/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1340307640&sr=8-5 (sorry, german amazon homepage...) it's a PSU with two USB ports - you could use one to power your pi and another one to power one part of an Y-c...

Re: 2-port-to-1 USB adapter for power-hungry peripherals?

I'm also pretty shure that a Y-cable should work...

lots of external 2,5" harddrives are connected via such a cable, one for the data, one for additional power...
of course, most of the harddrive-cables have a mini-usb, but there are cheap adapters...

Re: Faulty Pi?

I'm having the exact same problem, my Pi just powers off... I already sent an Email to Farnell, still waiting for an answer! Guess my Pi will have to go all the way back from Germany.... That's really frustrating after such a long time of waiting :-( probably it's a sign from the universe, telling m...

@error404: Okay, I'm glad to hear that :-) I think I will buy a dongle at our local store and try if it will work, and if not I can still get my money back. The Link you posted seems to be a good Tutorial. For all the others who are interested in Streaming audio from their bluetooth device to the Pi...

@javaboyuk: I only found this in the FAQ: "AUDIO Is sound over HDMI supported? Yes." So I'm pretty shure you won't have a problem with that? @error404: Thanks a lot! Hey there everyone, since I'm waiting to get a Raspberry Pi for a long time now, I could think a lot about all the cool things I would like to do with it. I wanted to share my ideas and would like to know, whether my expectations are too high? Basically, I want to use my Pi as an Audio Player! I tho...
