How important would real time hardware/software be for a device that needs to make nanosecond decisions?

Exaggerated, but you get where I'm going...
Hopefully the car does too.

Keep in mind there is no “urgent” in these forums.

You didn’t actually say what you’re disappointed with.

What are you trying to accomplish?

And it’s not 1 year. Raspberry Pi has been using ARM for several years now.

Re: Brainstorming using the raspberry pi to make a generic respirator

I’ve noticed lately when I see the word “respirator” in an article it is often referring to those N95 masks. Not any mechanical breathing device.

Seems like odd word usage but so do a lot of medical terms.

I’ve never used that software. I have a small color display from Adafruit (https://www.adafruit.com/product/4393) that holds about 5 lines of text. The Python script for it can be easily modified to display whatever you need, like temperature, memory usage etc. I update mine every minute with a cron...

In the US, many Pimoroni products can be purchased at Microcenter stores.

Re: Pi Zero crashing at random. How to diagnose?

what are you running so that it may crash ? Well, that's what I'm trying to figure out. This Pi does very little. It downloads some podcasts and uploads them to my dropbox account. The dropbox script is just a shell script. Other than that, it's plain vanilla. And at the approximate time of the cra...

Pi Zero crashing at random. How to diagnose?

I have a Pi Zero WH that has been crashing/locking up for no apparent reason. That's the state it's in right now. But before I pull the plug I wanted to ask the community what I can look for in the logs or elsewhere to diagnose the cause. details: - using Buster Lite, updated about 12 hours earlier ...

If not, you will not be able to boot. The Pi4 requires Buster (or later).

Pi 4 is "half" locked up. How to diagnose?

My Pi 4 is in an odd state at the moment. I can connect vi ssh, but some commands will never respond and some will. df, lsblk, and lsusb are working and return expected results. But ls, ps, sudo shutdown simply hang (or whatever). After typing the command and hitting enter, the command never returns...
