Re: [RPi3] SSH not working via wifi

The IPv6 workaround works for me, too.

Auto mount on Raspbian

Hi everyone, when I plug in USB drives, Raspbian mounts them automatically to the /media/pi folder. This is quite comfortable as I don't need to mount manually. But is there a way to change that path to a folder in my home directory? I already went through the udev rules but could not find anything ...

Re: [RPi3] SSH not working via wifi

I could make a connection but either I managed to log in and then lost connectivity or I was never able to log into SSH over the internal WiFi. These are symptoms of the power saving mode issue. This thread is about not beeing able to connect at all due to some weird wireless chip/router incompatib...

Re: [RPi3] SSH not working via wifi

@sjdarlington + @cdotson: Please note that we are having issues with SSH although we can ping the Pi and have disabled power saving mode. It's not about timeouts, SSH won't respond at all. Can someone confirm that rpi-update or dist-upgrade will solve the issue? Last time I ran rpi-update, it failed...

Re: [RPi3] SSH not working via wifi

Hi everybody,

thanks for all your input!

I set up my Android smartphone as a mobile hotspot and connected both my PC and Pi3 to ist. SSH worked ... consistent with your suspicion that interaction between wifi chip on the Pi and router is the source of all problems.

Re: RPI3 Wifi powersaving deactivate

For me, adding the following code to the /etc/network/interfaces file below the wlan0 section solved the problem

Code: Select all

pre-up iw dev wlan0 set power_save off
post-down iw dev wlan0 set power_save on

Re: [RPi3] SSH not working via wifi

I'm glad that I'm not the only one with this problem. I can rule out a client issue as the problem exists with Putty on my PC as well as on the SSH client on my Android device. Also I think it is very unlikely that my router somehow blocks the SSH connection since it works via ethernet. Everything p...

Re: [RPi3] SSH not working via wifi

I went through this thread earlier and followed the instructions. Since I did this wifi itself is running smoothly and the connection is very stable. I can ping the Pi with good timings, I can open websites on the Pi and so on. My problem is that despite there being a wifi connection I can't connect...

[RPi3] SSH not working via wifi

Edit: One clarification as things seem to get confused easily: This thread is about not being able to connect to SSH at all . If you experience unstable wifi and occasional SSH connection timeouts, please follow this thread which offers working solutions: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopi...
