It's still alive!

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd make a post stating that my Pi hosted site http://owen.podzone.net has been running for over 6 months without requiring one reboot. I only get about 20 visitors a day, mostly people downloading my 3d photos, but the Pi is also my NAS and an FTP server, which automatical...

Re: My Lego case

Have the dimesnsions of the camera been released yet? I hope it's just under 4 lego bricks in height and 2 bricks wide! That would make things a lot easier!

onlive

I read a post somewhere on here about someone who got onlive working on the pi. Has anyone else figured this out? I can't find any easy to follow info to do this.

Re: web server monitoring

I've put the Google analytics code on and switched the slashes from / to \ or \ to /.
I can't remember which way.

Pi has now been running the web server for almost two weeks without a crash. Yay!

Re: web server monitoring

The slashes look ok for me and the images download fine. Strange.

I have Sky so upspeed is about 1-1.5mbps so pretty poor for web serving.
Really don't want to move to Virgin broadband though, their TV box is terrible.

web server monitoring

Hi. I'be put some 3d photos I have taken onto my pi hosted website http://owen.podzone.net as a way to test the pi coping with file transfers. Does anyone know of any software to help me monitor the activity on the site or just whether a particular file has been accessed? It's Apache by the way.

Re: My Lego case

A handy thing about these lego cases is that they can be expanded. I'll be adding an extra room below my design for an external hard drive with a hole for the cable.

Re: 3D Camera Board for Pi

If the camera is 14MP (i'm sure that's right isn't it) then you could see if a lens splitter was available. Panasonic make one for their 2d hd video cameras http://cdn.itproportal.com/photos/pan-3d-cam_articleinline.jpg . You'd still end up with 7MP (ish) per eye, plenty for video and photos and you...

Re: Torrent server

I use Transmission GUI and VNC to the pi from my phone.
Then i just browse to the website with the torrent file and download it, or point it to a torrent file in my shared samba folder.

Not the most efficent way i guess but I find it quite an easy method.

Re: Getting started with Apache!

My website http://owen.podzone.net has had over 600 hits in 24 hours and it hasn't died. My lego pi case photos i put on show the limitations of transferring data from the pi's SD card ('m pretty sure it isn't maxing out my 2mbps upstream as the photos are only 200KB) so I'll def want to try out run...

Seems to be coping well. 200+ hits today. I built this using standard lego bricks except the vents at the top which were from some gi...

Apache website issues

Just a quickie for those unused to Linux, like me. My experience so far is that many Linux applications don't like to tell you when a file's access permissions deny access. I originally had this issue with Day of the Tentacle in ScummVM where the fact that only root could read or write to the file m...

Re: Keyboard sticks!

I use a wireless keyboard and mousepad combined and occasionally get the stuck keyboard issue. A reboot solves the problem though. I think it is a software issue, as it has only ever done it after I have opened Midori.

Re: Getting started with Apache!

Hi. It was a combination of your tutorial and one on YouTube.
Going to post something in troubleshooting later about issues I found when trying to create the site itself.
Probably more of an issue regarding my lack of knowledge of Linux than anything else though.

Re: Getting started with Apache!

Hi. I've successfully set up an apache server and it currently lives here: http://owen.podzone.net Not much content on it yet, as the weather has been too nice to be inside. It was just done as a test, although a couple of my photos are on there. N ot sure whether running the website from an externa...

ScummVM

Anybody managed to get this going? I click on it and it does nothing. I noticed there was both a scummvm and a scummvm-data package. Don't if it has any other related packages. My Day of the Tentacle CD is waiting to be copied across! I noticed there was a beneath a steel sky package and tried that ...

TightVNC

Hi. I've managed to port forward SSH to my Pi so i can get to it from my phone over 3G, but i can't get TightVNC to port forward correctly. I always get a connection refused issue. It always works locally though. Does anyone know of anything magical (or obvious) that I'm missing? I'm forwarding port...

Hi.

Success.

I deleted the midori files from .config/midori and it works fine. I had no bookmarks or anything so didn't really care.

Thanks.

Midori Issue [solved]

Hi All. I have a problem where attempting to run Midori results in the message "An instance of midori is already running but is not responding." I've searched for the process and I don't think it is there, and I have a rebooted which also doesn't help. Any ideas? The Internet speed in othe...
