Re: USB-C Power and data to Zero OTG

Slow charge as you describe would be the default value of that particular USB interface.500mA on a normal USB connector and 900mA on a type C connector. A proper USB charger that does negotiating with the device could provide more depending on which Power Delivery standard it follows. However it als...

Re: USB-C Power and data to Zero OTG

These answers show that the concept of USB-C is not fully understood A micro USB to USB-C adapter doesn't negotiate the power provided to the USB device. Also this can not easily be done by setting up the Zero as USB Gadget and just telling the host "I need more power". Also that the Zero needs only...

USB-C Power and data to Zero OTG

Hi, I wonder why no one developed a board such as the USB Stem that allows the pi zero to be connected to USB-C. I saw boards where you can just make use of the USB 2.0 lines and then forward it to whatever you want to build. But how about telling the USB-C port to also provide the 2 amp or even 3? ...

Re: Pi Zero as a USB keyboard (HID gadget)

Hi, And did you guys found any solution for this? I would like to setup a new raspberry pi zero with networking and HID abilities. My old one is still with a Jessie kernel and I'm pretty much afraid to perform any updates to its software. Every time I try to set this up with a stretch kernel I can't...

Re: Disk image using from host and Pi Zero at the same time?

Hi Thanks for the help here :-) 1) Where is $FILE set? You appear to be using it without setting it to anything. snap I thought I replaced all variables before posting the part of the script. And what I did is screwing up twice. The "mkdir -p /home/pi/disk.img" is actually "mkdir -p /home/pi/disk.d"...

Disk image using from host and Pi Zero at the same time?

Hi, I am currently running on 4.4.50+. I found several instructions to get a disk image mounted on the Raspberry Pi Zero so that I can see it on a computer when I connect the Pi via OTA. However how can I get the disk image also mounted on the Raspbian so that the Pi can read files from within the I...

Re: Hostapd with RTL8188cus on Jessie

so I had a bit more time to test here as well. I Guess my setup is a bit different then yours. I set my IP addresses for the interfaces via my own startup script. I went this way to be able to load the config from an FAT partition in case I can not access the machine so that I can quickly change the...

Re: Hostapd with RTL8188cus on Jessie

Hmm i currently can not try this out but as an idea... maybe there is an power saving setting interfering? https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=72902 is about the power saving issue. I also found a nicer way on how to get to the hostapd that supports more WiFi adapters, will write...

Hostapd with RTL8188cus on Jessie

Hi, I tried to get the host mode running of some RTL8188cus USB sticks that I bought on eBay for cheap money. However it did't work. So I browsed the web and checked the forum here and was quiet disappointed about this topic. It looks like there are plenty of guides for Wheezy (some 3.x kernel), but...
