Open an issue at https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux.

https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kerne ... 07176.html kind of mentions it.
I have done as you suggested.

Re: RPi4 freezes after last (today) update

I did not experience the "black screen" and crashes, but saw quite a lot of GPU related error messages (buffering problems) in dmesg. So I installed the latest version (apt) containing the firmware fixes this morning, rebooted and checked with dmesg. No GPU related errors so far, but a lot of stran...

Thanks dom, If the problem happens when starting a video, that would explain why I was able to stream all day, but I did watch a bunch before that. My 4B2 must be unusually lucky, I guess. I swapped out the fixup4.dat & start4.elf to the versions suggested by dom, I also set force_turbo=1 in config.txt. Everything was good for a few hours and then it locked up again during full screen vlc playback, this time leaving a still frame on the screen. I actually got something in the kernel ...

raise the gpu memory in raspberry pi configuration-> performance

i'm using 124
I've raised the GPU memory to 128 using raspi-config. It was set at 64, which must be the default because I have had no cause to change it in the past. Now I'll wait to see if it cures the problem.

Can those people seeing the issue provide a little more information please. For example, the resolution of the display you are using, anything unusual about your setup etc. Full screen, windowed. What board revision are you using (cat /proc/cpuinfo), that sort of thing. Are you using new installs o...

Re: [Unsolvable] Can't read sdcard

What size is your SD card? I was originally using a SanDisk Ultra, class 10, 64gb sdcard which ran 24 hours a day from last August until last week. Since then I've tried a new SanDisk 32gb high endurance with 2020-02-13-raspbian-buster on, and a 16gb class 10 SanDisk containing rpi-boot-eeprom-reco...

Re: Can't read sdcard

Was only asking because some people have reported problems with 32GB SD cards, but seeing as you have tried 3 different SD card sizes I think its safe to say your pi has suffered a hardware failure which is preventing it from access the SD card. This has been seen before by other users on the forum...

If you are getting the same repeating 4 blinking pattern from the green LED with or without the SD card then it would suggest your pi cant see / connect to the SD card. what size SD card are you using ? If you remove SD Card and any peripherals do you get any image on your Screen ? No, although I have not checked the composite, only the HDMI(s). You could try reading /var/log/apache2/error.log and see what it says. You could also run apachectl configtest and see if your conf files are correct. The "May 12 10:38:20 raspberrypi apachectl[3569]: (98)Address already in use: AH00072" implies that another process is already using the configured p...

[Unsolvable] Can't read sdcard

My Pi4 , which until now has performed admirably, suddenly decided it couldn't read the sdcard. I replaced the sdcard with a brand new one containing a freshly minted copy of Raspbian Buster, and it can't read that one either. Both the sdcards operate correctly in a Pi3+, but the Pi4 just repeatedly...

I've fixed it, an 'apt-get purge pulseaudio' followed by a reboot seems to have restored order to the universe, youtube plays in chromium and VLC works great. I can no longer watch youtube on chromium, the audio drops out repeatedly. It was fine last week, but some upgrade or other has broken the audio in chromium. VLC isn't as bad and once it settles down, the audio is fine, but it also behaves weirdly when it starts, dropping audio for a few seconds ran...
