Re: Headless raspberryPi with eth0+USB issue Register 0x0000

I also haven't tested with a standalone USB Hub (only with the one integrated in the lapdock) but I don't think that could be the problem...

Re: Headless raspberryPi with eth0+USB issue Register 0x0000

On my setup this is not a power problem. I don't have the fuses either!
So this is either an USB, NIC driver (wireless or ethernet) or iptables problem.
Curios is that individually, they work. Is there any other way to share internet connection, other than iptables?

Re: Headless raspberryPi with eth0+USB issue Register 0x0000

I also have the same problem http://raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=20727 . I don't have the integrated NIC and I used the RPi with a lapdock (so using the lapdock's USB hub). I also tried using the above cmdline.txt but had the same results. I have the RPi from may this year (if that ma...

FYI: just tried a stress test with iperf (between my PC and the RPi, no wireless), more than 10 GB of data were transferred and no errors.

Pi as router problem

I'm trying to connect to a wireless network using my Pi and share that connection to ethernet so that I can forward it via my wireless router (better signal in my home from that specific network). Wireless connection works fine. For wired, I use an USB->Ethernet adapter that uses MosChip MCS7830 tha...

Re: HDMI->LVDS converter

Here is what I've made so far (actually, the last state the project was in since I had no more time for it): https://www.dropbox.com/s/9o8192ad5vdma7q/HdmiToLvds.zip Schematics and PCB are made in DipTrace (it's free). It uses an 18 bit LVDS interface. You can switch to a 24 bit lvds by changing the...

Re: How to connect Raspberry Pi to Wi-Fi

So how does it work? I have to connect an USB HUB to one of the USBs on Pi and then connect the TP-Link TL-WN723N to the HUB or I can directly connect it to the Pi itself? Exactly. You can also connect it to the Pi directly if you short out the fuse (it draws too much power and causes the voltage t...

Very nice!
Looking forward to use this.

A shortcut key to save the state of the emulation would also be useful.

Re: Can RPi connect to Nokia phones for a serial connection?

You can use RFCOMM over bluetooth with smartphones (or wireless).
I think old nokia phones had a serial bluetooth service enabled for AT commands.

Anyway, it's a bit hard to make an universal solution for all phones.

Re: HDMI->LVDS converter

The converter actually runs from 3.3V (no regulator included yet).
I will post the schematics and the PCB drawings later.
Anyways, I don't think I'll build it.

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

Well, I found a PNG with some of the traces so I'll just risk it (some time later this year). I was now thinking of building a Pi Palmtop :twisted: using a Philips Velo 1 as base. I would like to keep the screen and the keyboard (interface them with the serial port as a console via an uC + LCD contr...

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

By the way, are the PCB drawings available? I was thinking of cutting the PCB (since I removed a lot the onboard hub + connectors) to a smaller size but I can't figure out if there are any critical traces in the areas I want to cut out. This would make the Pi fit in the place of the flipping part on...

Re: I want to use a 2.5 HDD for RasBMC can i use this cable?

Can i put the one usb to my raspberry pi and the other one to a 2000mAh 5V belkin power supply and connect to the other end my external hdd? Is there any possibility to damage my HDD. Should i buy a less powerful power supply like an iphone power supply. It might just work like that. You won't dama...

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

It happens only some times. For example I type in a line of a's in the terminal. They I hold backspace and it seems that sometimes everything freezes (for a few ms). I installed original squeeze (+ wireless drivers since I don't have ethernet anymore on my Pi) and everything worked fine. After this ...

Anybody with this issue? I just tested with squeeze and it works just fine. With wheezy (latest kernel) the problem persists.

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

Anyone using Weezy with the lapdock? Sometimes the keyboard gives "missfires" (a key is missed or remains pressed). Do I need an updated kernel? Note that I can't use rpi-update script because of the ISP where I live (internet is behind a proxy and port of git is blocked) so I am stucked with the ke...
