PI and MPX52100 Pressure Sensor

I am looking for sample code for using the MPX5100 pressure sensor with the Raspberry PI. I have searched the internet but can't find anything.

Anyone know where I can find such sample code?

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Raspberry pi3 access point !!

This is exactly the info I was looking for! What is the Wifi distance of the PI3? I want to use the PI on water to measure weather reading and be able to use my phone to access a web page on it for the readings.

Thanks,
Kevin

Learning Python Suggestions

What is a good source for learning Python? I looked through Udemy but nothing just for Python Programming for Raspberry Pi. I like to learn from videos better than books.

Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Newbie to Raspberry Pi and The Weather Station

Is there an advantage to changing from the while true to def readall? Python is so different then Arduino C/C++. Arduino programming seems to be more logical on controlling or reading the inputs and outputs. For one, reading the BME280 with Python, I am not sure how to get it to just read past one o...

Re: Newbie to Raspberry Pi and The Weather Station

Still can't get it figured out. I did read through the link you posted. Here is the code and what they want me to change in those directions. import bme280 import smbus2 from time import sleep port = 1 address = 0x76 # Adafruit BME280 address. Other BME280s may be different bus = smbus2.SMBus(port) ...

Re: Newbie to Raspberry Pi and The Weather Station

OK! Got into the settings and turned on I2C and solved my problem. It's a shame that this article does not explain this and other issues I have come across and this is to be for school learning. The other issues I figured out except this one so far: Replace the while True loop with a function called...

Re: Newbie to Raspberry Pi and The Weather Station

I was looking at another page on setting up the BME280 and it shows setting up I2c. I will do that and make sure the BME280 is installed.

Re: Newbie to Raspberry Pi and The Weather Station

This is the weather project I am working from. https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/projects/build-your-own-weather-station It is hard for me to tell if the I2C was setup since the python code is different then what I am used to. It seems the code doesn't have as much setup as I am used to. I am tryi...

Newbie to Raspberry Pi and The Weather Station

I started out on the classroom weather station and got to the point of running the code after hooking up the BME 280 sensor and is not working. Double checked the sensor hookup and is fine. I have used the sensor with Arduino projects. Here is the code: import bme280 import smbus2 from time import s...

Re: Programming Software for Raspberry PI

Can I program from Windows 10 and send it to the PI, like Arduino or do I have to program within Raspbian for example?

Wifi to send weather info

Hello Gang! I am a newbie to Raspberry PI. I am wanting to possibly use one for sending wifi info of weather conditions from about 150 feet out in the water. I want to measure some weather reading and be able to access via wifi from my phone. Would that be a wifi server or access point? Thanks, Kevin
