Re: Is there reason why is there just Java 11?

Pi 4 / 4 GB

Looks like the least hassle will be official default JDK with some java IDE - Eclipse or NetBEnas... ?

Re: Missing Rocks’n’Diamonds in Raspbian repo

No idea whether it will get in to our repos. You are the only person who's asked! But if it works there is no reason to reject it, maybe just no time to do it. I know of course it is Ubuntu x86, but there is SRC too = it worked for me even with Jamesh code without one lib! I asked first before cca ...

Re: Missing Rocks’n’Diamonds in Raspbian repo

I quickly tried to build this from source, but get an odd error that I don't have time to explore. But if anyone else want to try.. sudo apt install libsdl2-dev libsdl2-image-dev libsdl2-mixer-dev libsdl2-net-dev netpbm git clone https://git.artsoft.org/rocksndiamonds.git cd rocksndiamonds make Wor...

Missing Rocks’n’Diamonds in Raspbian repo

This is only Linux where it is missing: on Ubuntu and clones its available.

Can someone with existing dev access to RAspbian repair it?

Thanks.

Re: Still confused, what is better for my SD card?

I heard ARM drivers in SD cards are created to 1 000 cycles at least... I used Pi 2 year with Verbatim 32 GB and card is still kicking too! I am data minimalist! Few MB up to few hunderds of documents are more then enough for me, so I use my old cards (SLC only!) from cameras: CF, MS Pro, MMC, SD, ...

Re: Still confused, what is better for my SD card?

But i am not sure still - if you fill 32 GB to 30 GB and let it sit, it will really move and rewrite itself all data around? Is this directly in SD specs somewhere? Logic says that if you have low GB capacity on SD, you should move it on PC sometimes and write again so it is always on another new fr...

Re: Still confused, what is better for my SD card?

Some products are limited to 32 GB SDHC - ebook readers, tablets, consoles (NDS), ...

If you have 2-3 GB free, you are still writing on the same place, not?

Still confused, what is better for my SD card?

If you have on some few GB, is it better to let AI shuffle data after each write and let it move and re-write data randomly or after each cca 1 month write whole card again, so written places "move around" more?

Pls advice! Thx!

You don't really HAVE to use it. Nobody is holding you by knife... Use Firefox mostly and Kroum just for YouTube etc.

Re: I dont get it... Why is everyone from science schools so obsessed with Perl and Python when we got C?

And the criticism I get is, why did I use Assembly Language. There are plenty of other things that people could criticize about that code, though they ignore all the other stuff, and target my choice to use a little bit of assembly language. I should actually elaborate on that a touch, as the wordi...

Re: How long will it take for Risc OS to be on todays level of Raspbian?

Just beware that Risc OS with 90 % more driver code etc. is not more chunky like another Linux ;). I do not think it will be that much of a difference. And because of the way that RISC OS works, it is very unlikley that adding more HW support will make a difference in the performance, it is a very ...
