!RDPClient not working with Server 2008 R2

Just found RISC OS yesterday, and it seems to be quite a fast OS. I'm trying to use the Pi as a thin client. I downloaded !RDPClient . I successfully connected to a Windows 7 machine, but when I tried to connect to a WIndows 2008 R2 server, I got a message saying "RDPClient may have gone wrong. Clic...

Re: Any alternative to xbmc?

I like my electronics responsive, and unfortunately, xbmc on RPi isn't there yet.
I have resorted to wiring my PC up to the TV to act as my media center.

You're right. Only the power pins are connected so this is not possible.

Does your electricity meter have a red led? How did you choose which photodiode to use? How did you attach it?

USB USB Go buy a bottle of chardonnay at your local supermarket. (Seriously though, no.) Go to hotmail....

It means it won't run on the Pi. Wine doesn't work on the Pi, so unfortunately no go for you.

There's no x86 chip on the Raspberry Pi. Try running the ARM version of your program instead.

To answer your aside, this is the beginners' programming forum. You might find the http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=26 Basic setup and usage forum more to your liking.

It doesn't matter because when you write an image to the card, you will overwrite whatever format that was on it.

Re: Raspberry Pi very slow. Is this normal?

You're using Debian Squeeze aren't you? Try Raspbian instead.

Edit: The reason it is slow is because the software isn't optimized, and the full power of the Raspberry Pi aren't being used. Once the software is finished, it should be much better.

Is 5.71v too high a voltage?

HI, I wired up a TP-link Power over Ethernet adaptor. It seems to work, but when I measure the voltage across the test points, I get 5.71v. Is this too high, will it shorten the lifespan?
