Re: Screen resolution automatically changing

It looks like that some of the last updates made my udev rule to work, before this didn't worked.

Code: Select all

SUBSYSTEM=="drm", ACTION=="change", RUN+="/usr/local/bin/autoresolution"
Crazy that I spent so much time searching for it. :)

Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

I gave up on Dispmanx, as I cannot configure resolution, it can be done in /boot/config what I don't want.

Is there any other screen capture vnc server where you can specify resolution as parameter when you start the server? Also that can handle 4k?

I think it's /usr/share/dispsetup.sh

Screen resolution automatically changing

Today I updated my RPi4 Buster to latest version. It is amazing how Kernel update can deliver some very nice bugs. This time I change screen resolution to 1920x1080 with lxrandr, save changes. When I reboot I will still have wanted resolution but in a few seconds something will trigger revert to hig...

Installed this and it's dependencies but every-time I start Kodi up, it exits to cli and then I see the Kodi screen. once I exit Kodi, it's back to the desktop.

Is this normal?

Re: Kodi 18.3 Leia for Raspberry Pi 4

Kodi use 30-50% idle for one CPU core on main window GUI. While playing video it is okay = no extra % on top of the normal video playback load. I tried with different skins and Estuary has little bit lower CPU ~30% with added <smartredraw>true< to advancedsettings.xml CPU lowers to 4-19% but this s...

Re: Kodi is broken on raspbian buster

To install Kodi on Buster you'll need to uninstall the current version (if you have it installed) and use the pipplware repository for the time being. sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list deb http://pipplware.pplware.pt/pipplware/dists/buster/main/binary / wget -O - http://pipplware.pplware.pt/pipplware...

Re: Dispmanx VNC Server

It is not that it deosn't work at all. It just doesn't work on higher resolutions. Downsampling and option to specify resolution in config (what is possible with realvnc) would solve the problem.

I will do some testing and provide you with error.
