Re: Super newb needing audio output help

You can use a DAC or just use the headphone jack to a RCA cord for Mono output to those speakers, since they will be too far apart for stereo. You have a long time to work on this. Get your program running then insert music for your timing with MIDI. You would be better off using a MIDI controller f...

I need help because when I go to fortnite I can't download on this computer

Why do you expect the Raspberry Pi to meet system requirements:

https://fortnite.gamepedia.com/System_Requirements
It would barely run on the Core 2 Quad Core that I have.

Re: Capture video from HDMI using Pi3 - is it possible? If yes - how?

Because of HDCP, there is no way to capture an HDMI output on the device to a video device. You can capture from the Composite if you have a way to trigger the recording out of that output to another device. The biggest issue is that the Pi alone is going to end up eating a bunch of CPU cycles tryin...

Re: UART Protocol and Raspberry

Basically, there is no difference. Ground is usually* used as a term for the 0v connections of a system. Common ground means grounds that are connected together to make them "common", ie. the same ground level. *ground is sometimes used as a term for an "earth" connection, or even for shielding/scr...

The best bet for the OP is to try typing raspberry in as the userid, as that field isn't hidden. That way they can find what wonky German keyboard combination is needed t get...

I am going to have to buy some for my 3d printer as the stepper drivers had no adhesive with the heatsinks!
Yep. If you need to know temps, get the crayons that are out there. They start around 105 deg's F.

Re: Using a ZeroW and camera as an endoscope for chimneys?

If I had to guess, most likely the flu has never been cleaned. Pay someone to come and look at it, since if they fall, they will have a belt to keep them from hitting the ground. This is something that the experts can look at, grab a piece of wood and draw out what they found out. If it has been use...

Re: Virtualization Raspbarry

You can emulate x86 using qEMU and run windows 95 but it's not exactly fast - maybe usable for some things. XP was unusably slow when I tried. Try finding a Linux alternative to whatever you are trying to run. Not it is not. All done for proof of concept and that is about it. The higher ends boards...

thank you for replying
Not with the Pi, but the unit that Microsoft is working with Qualcomm on, they will have a ARM chip that will run their new RT version of Windows 10.

There have been some people who have modified for a better antenna. I would just use a USB adapter for wifi. You would get better range. You can get the slim units that are not that far out of the USB port.

You may want to consider the T412 here. how can I fix this?
That is because the wifi and ethernet are tied into the USB ports. Do not know why you are going about the hard way to get a headless system to work. Just use VNC. Need to look at the OTG = On The Go stuff for the pi.
