Device orientation not working when webpage is hosted on a pi

Hello, I'm trying to get orientation data from a phone through JavaScript. When the website is NOT hosted on a raspberry pi, it works. The code changes the text to "Supported!" and the coordinates are logged in the console https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/staff/underwol/ Here's the JavaScript on the webp...

Hello, Sorry if this has been posted already. Browsing on my phone with a toddler attached to one leg whilst making chocolate rice krispies... There seems to be 2 voices - the lovely cloud voice which is amazingly clear and loud and the local voice which, on my project, is roboty (not a problem) BUT...
