Re: No Wifi connection to Pi Zero W after Raspbian update

My wifi dongle stopped working after an update/upgrade I was forced to do to install dnsmasq and hostapd on a pi2. I got fed up of trying to get it to work and installed ubuntu mate. Now the wifi works but the names of wlan0 and eth0 have changed to wlxHWaddr and enxHWaddr respectively. On my laptop...

Re: NRF24L01 RF Transceiver

I vaguely remember some function in one of the library files that used a default address that overwrites your chosen pipe address when you call it. Maybe I just imagined it because I haven't seen it mentioned by anyone else. It would explain why the addresses you read back are not the ones you wrote...

This works:
Make the pi a wifi access point and connect to it with the phone.
VNC serveur on the pi.
VNC viewer on the phone.

Re: ArduinoIDE switches Port when Serial Monitor opens

I have the same "problem" on my laptops with Arduino and Picaxe IDEs. I thought it was normal behaviour. When I hot-plug something, the OS gives it the first ttyUSBx available, usually ttyUSB0. If ttyUSB0 is being used the OS gives the next device the file ttyUSB1, and so on. It's as if there's a de...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 unable to connect to anything or display

I'd try your roommate's sd card in your pi with your roommate's hdmi cable, monitor and power supply. If it still doesn't work when the only difference between your roommate's setup and yours is your pi, then you have a duff pi. It would be something intermittent, because you've already had yours wo...

I just did what you're trying to do. I was surprised when it worked, as always when I just follow instructions and don't understand what I'm doing . Install vnc server on the pi. Install vnc viewer on the phone. Follow the instructions (the stuff I don't understand) here: https://www.raspberrypi.org...

Have a look here:

Re: [HELP] Conseil achat clavier sans fil

J'ai un clavier Logitech K270 et une souris Logitech M345 appairés pour n'avoir besoin que d'un seul dongle. Pas de rétro-éclairage. Pas de touchpad. Pour la fréquence, je ne sais pas et je m'en tape le mulot. Pourquoi préciser 2,4 GHz? Les deux marchent bien avec les Pi's 1,2,3. Je bosse pas chez L...

no-click micro SD

Hi all, I got a Pi3 model B for xmas. It works OK, but the micro SD card does not "click in", "click out". It slides into place like the old full-size SD cards, and has to be pulled out.. Is this normal? Has the holder model changed? It was bought from Amazon and has "element 14" marked on the box. ...

I don't like the RF24 library.
This might work with a Pi3. Maybe you could let me know.
The code for Arduino and Pi Transmitter can be found with the "next" button.
Not really a Python question though, is it?

Some simple code in C or Picaxe basic to get the hang of it. You'll need the datasheet.

Re: BBC BASIC for Raspbian updated to v0.19a

I gave up but my son got it to work using Linux Mint 32-bit in VirtualBox.
It needs to be easier to install.
I'll give it another go. It looks like it's worth the trouble.

Re: BBC BASIC for Raspbian updated to v0.19a

Hi, I haven't been able to install your BBC BASIC on anything. 64-bit Debian Stretch on a laptop gave me a message box saying: "Could not initialize UDEV" 64-bit Arch showed an empty "Choose IDE" window for about 1 sec before disappearing. Re: How to get a Raspberry Pi to communicate over 10km (6 miles)

The maximum data rate required is half a byte per second.
The information could be transferred with just 2 bytes, 1 for the ID and 1 for the data, so 1 byte every 15 seconds.

Re: How to get a Raspberry Pi to communicate over 10km (6 miles)

Using multiple Pi's seems like overkill to me, especially if you're tight for money.

Why not use microcontrolleurs for the remote stuff and link them to a Pi with LoRa modules?

You could breadboard a feasability test for around 20€ plus the Pi.
