Re: Installing Image on CM3 twice failing

OK, that does sound like it is indeed failing to find the FAT partition... Can you dd the FAT partition from the non-working and working CM3 to a file? dd if=/dev/sdb of=file.img bs=512 count=522239 You can then do 'hexdump -C file.img' for both files and compare them... This may tell you what's dif...

Re: DSI Interface to Non Raspberry Pi Display

Again, no that's wrong, the open source drivers as developed by Eric Anholt fully support the DSI display output and support full FKMS graphics output including video and 3D. What you don't have is the full datasheet for the hardware, but the source should have enough detail to replace this anyway.....

Are you sure you've got the PC plugged into the USB slave connection and power connected to power in? Do both the red and green LEDs come on and stay on?

You would also have to add 0R links for the signals to be connected through to the edge connector, R16,17,18,19

Actually, the problem is that it requires a full power off and back on to re-read the OTP bits... The state machine that reads the OTP bits only runs on power-on reset...

Re: Question about program_usb_timeout

Just to be clear, any of the program_ options in config.txt _just_ set otp bits in the chip. These are used to change the behaviour of the bootrom. program_usb_boot_mode=1 This sets bit 29 in rows 17 and 18 of the otp which enables host boot mode (device boot mode is enabled by default anyway) progr...

Re: High bandwidth interface to FPGA?

Yes, you can use an FPGA to do CSI, with just a couple of resistors, but it won't be able to run full Gbit speed. Instead you can use a CSI phy and connect to the FPGA

Not easy though

The pins you have on the diagram are for SPI... You need to find the pins for four bit sdio... The gpios can be seen in the arm peripheral datasheet as the alternate settings

Re: Dynamic profile VCore difference between RPi3 & CM3

Also, Fast chips don't need as much voltage to run at the same speed and therefore use less power, but fast chips have greater static power consumption Slow chips need more voltage but have less static power consumption... The main difference between Pi3 and CM3 is the energy dissipation either thro...

Might be worth reverting the firmware back to when maxnet originally wrote the scriptexecutor to see if that helps?

Re: Compute Module V3 with LAN9512

It definitely looks like there is a problem with with power, reset or clocking, since it clearly starts up properly then drops out... I would initially assume reset, but would have expected it to just drop off the USB bus if that was asserted, so maybe clocking or power is worth looking further into...

Re: Mass deployment on Raspberry Compute Module 3.0

The scriptexecutor buildroot is ideal for this sort of thing if you have an ethernet interface available on your target... Basically it is a buildroot configuration that you push over USB (using the standard rpiboot code) that boots up and gets an http link from the cmdline.txt file. It will then wg...

Re: Rpi3 B + Official Touchscreen + Official Power Supply (revisited)

Either way is fine, the polyfuse shouldn't be a problem, it's rated at 2.5A which should be the maximum supply anyway! It's safe either way, and is also safe for you to have two separate power supplies for both boards (there is a protection device to handle the case of two slightly different power s...

Re: Compute Module V3 with LAN9512

I think there's a problem with the Ethernet part of the 9512. It's when this is enumerated and initialised that things start to go wrong. Where did you get the schematics for it? Did you just follow the microchip datasheet?

Wonder if there's a problem with power...

Re: Compute Module 1 does not boot with upgraded bootloader

Are you sure it's not booting at all? i.e. can you scope out the eMMC lines and check that it is reading the eMMC.

After that, check the LED line, is that being driven low at boot time?

Also what dt-blob.bin are you using? Do you have your own or are you using the one built into the code?

OK, you answered about using the latest version of the software, have you tried flashing it using the CMIO3 board? Re: EMC problems at 426 MHz with DPI24 enabled

One other thought we had is whether this is some multiplication of the audio PWM output frequency and the PCLK frequency

Can you try setting the PWM outputs to inputs using raspi-gpio tool to see if this has any effect?
