Re: Sound in Python Games, no sound in Scratch

Well it would seem I have found a work around for now. On mine I have to open up python games and it will ask me what audio setting I want to use. I check "AUTO" and proceed to open up any game I know has sound in it. I hear the speakers "click" and I know the audio is good to go. Test it with a gam...

Re: Sound in Python Games, no sound in Scratch

Hi guys Thank you for your replies. The plot thickens however.... I was able to get sounds working...or more to the point they fixed themselves. I imported the "meow" file and it showed as being 37Kb. I clicked on it and it worked. Then I loaded the "laser1" sound and it was showing it as being 1kb....

Sound in Python Games, no sound in Scratch

Hi guys New to Scratch I have a new Raspberry Pi 2 and when I use Scratch I can't hear any of the sound files that come pre-installed. I had them working the first time and that was it. The sounds in the pre-installed python games work ok so it would seem the sound settings are ok. My settings tell ...

Wireless Keyboard and Mouse vs individual plug in

Hi guys

Just wanted to know how the RPi goes plugging in a wireless keyboard and mouse combination?

I would assume this is the better option as it uses one less USB port and is of course...wireless.

Will it pick up the drivers when I first boot up the RPi?

Recommended "self powered" USB hub to use

Hi guys Just wondering what type of "self powered" USB hub you would you recommend? I found a few on RS.Some greatly cheaper than others. I know it needs to be separately powered so as not to cause any current draw from the Pi but what else do I need to look for? Arhh too many options! Thanks in adv...

Matrix Screen Saver in Raspbian

Hi guys. Just wondering if there is a good Matrix scrolling text screen saver that works well with Raspbian/Debian? I had a cool one for Windows but it seems like every time I download one now I get a bloody virus or spyware/adware crap. Can you even use a screensaver in Raspbian? (I am a newbie :) ...

Re: Setting up my Pi to surf the net.

Cheers guys. I appreciate the feedback. I am going to use my Samsung Mobile phone charger to power my RPi. It is 2A and I already have a USB to MicroB cable so I am guessing it will be adequate. That is cool about increasing your power output via editing the config file but I am just curious.... If ...

Re: Setting up my Pi to surf the net.

Thank you for the reply. I have done some further reading now. I am curious. How do users find using a Pi as a basic web browser? Basic for me is surfing the web, checking gmail, facebook, forums and buying things online occasionally. I don't really download much or play games. How does it compare t...

Hi guys I am new to the world of Raspberry Pi. I have been reading lots and finally decided to buy a Pi 2 with a cool rainbow "Pibow" case. Just ordered it today. I am currently working at sea so just getting everything ready for when I get home in 3 weeks time. The first thing I want to be able to ...
