Re: Creating an extremly reliable Actioncam with a PiZero

Thank for your answer David :). The problem is that I am really bound here to the single Pi Zero W and its camera - and nothing else. So I think I'll just rewrite the requirement to "as best reliable as possible". As I cannot add another real media and my timeframe is running out, I will probably go...

Re: Creating an extremly reliable Actioncam with a PiZero

Thank you very much for your answers. I provided that the filesystem for the boot and systemfiles will be readonly, so even on a crash of the system the Pi will always come back up successfully again. I just want to find a way to store files in a way that recording new videos will as close to always...

Creating an extremly reliable Actioncam with a PiZero

Dear all, I am little bit in a pinch (timewise) and need to create a extremly reliable Actioncam with a PiZero - should come up and record kind of everytime, no matter how bad it was crashed (in terms of power supply switch off at every tinkable point, so thinking about filesystem reliabilty on the ...

Re: KeDei 3.5 inch 480x320 TFT lcd from ali

Nice finding :) I can guess, that v6.3 don't have that same register map as v6.2 so it won't work - while kernel for v6.1-6.3 set all registers even those that don't have 6.2 but have 6.3 ( and opposite). Most probably you're right :)! You'd need to contact directly kedei, but they don't give sh*t ...

I only have version 6.2 in hand so I only did it for 6.2 though I can do the same thing for 6.1 and 6.3.

:ugeek:
At the moment I still got the 6.3 display, so I could test it, if there was a way to get the init sequence out of that thing :)

Re: KeDei 3.5 inch 480x320 TFT lcd from ali

Dear KeDei-haunted fellows, seems like I'd have to join you as well. I needed some 3.5 screens for an project, long story short: Now I got 6 of the KeDei v. 6.3 sitting here doing nothing - because, you know - driver situation. I found following Github repo, which might be interesting for the 6.2 us...

Re: PiZero Roadmap

OK, long shot: As I do work very often with different microcontrollers, vendors release drop-in replacement chips from time to time. I do not know wheter the BCM2837 was an such replacement with the BCM2835 - but if it was - they could hunk in that chip... However, if it were - it would still be a l...

Re: Stereo Audio Output split to two Mono Outputs?

Thanks for your answer Dougie, but I think I asked a little bit mistakable. What I meant was that I need to install several speakers in a room. Each one needs its own mono signal. Therefore I wanted to splitt the stereo interface of the pi in its left signal and right signal - which would give me tw...

Stereo Audio Output split to two Mono Outputs?

Hi there, for an Arts Project I would need multiple Mono Soundinterfaces which need to be controled by different sensors, using the Raspberry Pi. Is is possible to split i.e. the RPi Stereo Audio Interface to two "virtual" Mono Audio Interfaces and controlling each of them seperatly? Thanks a lot, N...

Re: Wolfram and custom i2c Device

Hello Hellmut, I have already solved the problem as I have written my own MathLink bridge specific to the used chips (I2C/SPI) in my thesis by using the wiringPi Library. Actually it is quite easy and the guys at Mathematica are working on resolving some dependency issues I came up with :). Regards,...

Wolfram and custom i2c Device

Good evening, I found out about Wolfram beeing able to communicate with i2c Devices - but sadly only on the prebuilt example of an RPi Weatherstation ( http://community.wolfram.com/groups/-/m/t/157486 ). Does anyone know wheter its possible to use Wolfram with custom i2c Devices, like an TMP100 temp...

[FIXED] Re: libmmal_core.so: cannot open shared object file

Ok, got that sorted out:
The instructions I used were outdated and I copied the old, non-hard floating point firmware to the pi, which caused the error.
Raspbian is now full hardware fp, so need to use the hardfp/opt/vc from the firmware git to upgrade the old stuff...
And that was it.

I rerun the ldconfig, but sadly nothing changed:

Ok, the problem is about the RPi Firmware. With version https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/commit/ffbb918fd46f1b0b687a474857b370f24f71989d#boot from 06.01.2013 it does work (Serial Line and everything!) with the Version from 07.01.2013 https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/tree/0ac68cce44d455...

I did also use the https://launchpad.net/gcc-arm-embedded Toolchain, build the Demo and got serial output as well as the blinking led, but I can't transmit any serial signal... Nothing works.
