I had the same problem. file /etc/init.d/disable-ethernet said something about ASCII with CRLF. After converting the file to "Unix style" (CR only) it worked. Mine does not reboot either with Debian squeeze. Not even with a fresh installed image. All the LEDs remain on. It reboots with Openelec and Arch though. I got my Bionic Lapdock last week from a local Verizon shop. They are out of stock online but you might be able to find one in the local stores. After getting the HDMI cables and building the Y USB cable mentioned in this thread everything works like a charm! I did most of the testing with Openelec....
