Re: Send data over RF433

Have a look at http://abyz.co.uk/rpi/pigpio/examples.html#pdif2__433D, http://abyz.co.uk/rpi/pigpio/examples.html#Python__433_py, http://abyz.co.uk/rpi/pigpio/examples.html#Python_vw If you want to minimise dependencies you'll probably need to write your own. always you joan, always with great sugg...

Send data over RF433

Hello, a decent 30min googling didn't yeld me anything conclusive on this, so I once again write here for some beginner advice. As from the subject I'd like to send data (hex encoded if possible) via RF433, at the moment with a single RasPi basically plugging transmitter and receiver on the same boa...

Re: wiringPi + MCP23017 + RGB LED

Software PWM only works on directly connected GPIO. You could write your own PWM to toggle the MCP23017 GPIO but I doubt it would be a satisfactory experience. Why not connect the RGB LED directly to the Pi (with suitable resistors for each RGB leg). Well then I guess I'll go down that road, luckil...

wiringPi + MCP23017 + RGB LED

I've been trying to control a single RGB Led from Bash using the wiringPi library. unfortunately the Soft PWM mode/output seems impossible to be used to I2C/MCP23017 pins, and I can only write 0/1 to each of the 3 leds. any pointers on how to tackle this? am I missing some obvious point or is there ...

Re: MCP23017 For noobs???

it worked XD just a bad connection :D so the :1 did the trick :D its magic :D I thought the 0x20 instead of 20 would actually do the trick  The bit of code that parses the -x flags to the gpio command stops parsing when it has had enough - so: gpio -x mcp23017:100:0x20:1 write 105 1 works, b...

wiringPi gpio command not working from crontab

I have tested every single possible configuration, but still I can't get it to work. When I issue any "gpio command" from the console, everything works just fine. Set mode or Write both return the expected results. But when the commands are issued via crontab (root's) @reboot, nothing works and I ca...

Re: RUN breakout on B+

are these pins by any chance readable via software?
my idea is to have the state change to also trigger a shutdown command when the raspi is on. would that be even possible?
