I do advise you to try the userapp first otherwise those in the know may be reluctant to help. Sorry guys, but I am 100% confused now. What should I expect from the raspi_tc358743 binary? It terminates immediately right after printing out this: [email protected]:~ $ userland/build/bin/raspi_tc358743 -...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Did you ever manage to get the b101 working? If not then you may have a problem with the physical connection, as that's when i saw that error most. Sadly, I never managed to get it work with the latest software of everything. What kind of physical connection could it be in your opinion? The only ot...

Ongoing development by Orbital6 and myself has been merged to https://github.com/6by9/userland/tree/hdmi_in_hack. Still unofficial, but almost all in the open, and should be automatically detecting the input resolution and adopting it so no restriction on 720P. Many thanks for your hard work on thi...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

I think you get ENOSPC when you have two camera processes running. The second one can't access the camera because it's in use. no other processes are using the camera at the same time. I read the instructions in the B101 documentation after a fresh installation of the latest Jessie on a Rpi3 and tr...

H264 encoder capabilities of Rpi3 and Rpi2

Hi,

I'd like to split the H264 encoder component in two parts to encode two video streams separately. Can you tell what is the limit of each encoder block in terms of maximum expected [email protected] when using them at the same time?

side by side camera preview

Hi,

raspivid -3d sbs seems to only overlay one of the two camera captures when the preview is turned on. How can I enable a full side by side preview or is this just not possible?

CAM0 not detected on CM3

Hi, I followed all the official instructions to enable both the 2.1 cameras on the CM3, however I get the following: $ vcgencmd get_camera supported=2 detected=1 CAM0 is not detected. I doubled checked the cable connections, they are ok. I am using the official -dual.dts: sudo dtc -I dts -O dtb -o /...

Clarifications about MMAL zero-copy

Hi,

could you explain what the zero-copy option does exactly and, more importantly, *when* should it be used (or when not), and which port should it be applied too exactly? An example (in words) would be much appreciated.

Re: Turn HDMI-out into a V4L2-compliant capture device with

UV4L can capture audio from any input source. You can create an ALSA "loopback device" from audio-out and use it with UV4L as input. And yes, audio can be streamed in real-time along with the video track to any browser. Awsome, I confirm it works! I could get real-time audio - video to my smartphon...

This is impressive. Do you know if it is possible to capture and redirect audio-out too from the Raspberry Pi to the browser?

Re: Convert from RGB24 or RGBA or RGB565 to YUV420 with MMAL

Convert from RGB24 or RGBA or RGB565 to YUV420 with MMAL

Hi,

is it possible to convert from one of RGB24 or RGBA or RGB565 to YUV420 with some MMAL component? I tried "vc.ril.isp" and "vc.ril.resize" but I get "zero'ed" buffers (black) from both the components.

What about encryption of the streams? is it possible?

Also, out of my curiosity, why did you call this solution "VR" even if what you stream is a real room? Is there the possibility of also streaming really virtual environments?

Why do you want bidirectional? Can be done, but just go to fully virtual environment then ;) bidirectional (audio especially) so to possibly have more interaction between you and the remote audience. Anyway what is the "fully virtual environment"? can you give an example? Can the streams be encrypt...
