Re: Why cant I download the LATEST RASPBIAN Raspberry Pi web

Yes, I read your other posts and if you don't mind me asking. Who are you? And it seems that you didn't answer a question posted by another Pi user. "How can we trust you to not have a backdoor in your downloads?" :?:

How to permanetly hide mouse pointer?

Hello, I am running Raspbian Jessie on Raspberry PI 2 Model B along with a touchscreen. I just noticed that whenever I use the touchscreen display, mouse pointer also follows my finger tips. I don't want that. I want to be able to totally hide the mouse pointer whenever I am using the touchscreen an...

Re: Digital Clock Settings

On my pi the clock does not count time when the pi is off. It does not fix upon start-up. How do I fix this? :? The time should be set as soon as the Internet connection is established sometime during the boot process or soon after. If you don't have internet connection then you need a RTC module o...

Re: Will this easy install pitft image boot on the normal PC

Hi mikerr, The problem I am running into is this. I bought 2.8 PiTFT to use with Raspberry PI 2 Model B. After spending a day or two, I finally figured how to get my display to work with touchscreen and it does, which is great. However, the 2.8 PiTFT is so small, I can't do anything useful like sys...

Re: Will this easy install pitft image boot on the normal PC

OOps..I did face the same thing. HDMI didn't turn up. It started booting and stopped suddenly. Yes, in fact once I commented that line out and rebooted. My 2.8 screen didn't display anything and nothing was shown on the monitor either. So, I had to reinstall the Raspbian OS again to get it back... ...

I am currently trying to get their help now. At this point I have lost most hope for seeing this touchscreen work. I got a question for you and all those who replied to your post didn't even bothered to ask you this. Is your PiTFT display capacitive or resisitive touchscreen? No need to ask... OP w...

Re: Using touchscreen along with Real-Time-Clock module

From your description I assume you're looking at this Adafruit screen: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1983 That one is meant for use with older Pi models. For the 2B you should use https://www.adafruit.com/products/2423 Both models route all the header pins to a secondary connector. Just connect ...

Using touchscreen along with Real-Time-Clock module

Hello, I am working Raspberry PI 2 Model B and I have worked out the interfacing of Real-Time-Clock Interface with GPIO pinouts. However, now I am running into problems. I figured out how to do it. The way it works is that if the 7" touchscreen display is powered, automatically HDMI output is disabled. If the 7" display is not powered, HDMI output is enabled.

Re: How to autostart a program on Raspbian?

Sadly none of the suggested answers helped. The only way I was able to get my program to run at boot with correct work path folder is writing a mini program, which runs at boot, started myprogram.

Re: How to autostart a program on Raspbian?

I was able to edit rc.local for autostarting my program as follows by simply adding a line. ./home/pi/myprogram/viewdata That worked. Viewdata started up at boot, but Viewdata doesn't know it's working folder. ViewData complains that it can't access it properties or setting, because working folder i...

Re: How to create shortcut on the desktop?

:D Solved it... In addition what I have in the file, you also need to have a working folder. Basically the following line. path=/home/pi/MyProgram/ Now it works like a real shortcut. It really is strange no one seem to mention it anywhere about this. I accidentally found out while I was trying diffe...
