Re: issue after upgrade to 20200205 release

One possible cause of the GUI failing to launch is that the root filesystem is full. ... You should be able to press Ctrl+Alt+F2 and then login using text mode for further diagnosis using "df" and "ls -al". Ctrl+Alt+F2 got me logged in df showed 100% use, therefore "root filesystem full" seems the ...

Re: Image File Utilities

Keep in mind that FAT32 has a maximum file size of 4 GB, so a ROOT size of 3,964 MB + 256 MB of BOOT is going to exceed 4 GB. Use EXT4 or NTFS (which may require installing ntfs-3g). @RonR Thanks you nailed the root cause.I failed to consider the fact '+ 256 MB of BOOT'. Maybe a check could be adde...

PowerShell ... what benefit there is to you compare to scripting in Bash?
there is a comparison with a focus on security, maybe this helps.

Bash is open source - you can create variants of it
PowerShell is open source too.
Admitted this happened not so long ago but is from my view the right approach all software should use

Re: Minidlna 1.1.2 is released. apt-get installed 1.0.24

Hi rbiks,

adding the missing "#" made the insserv: warning disappear.

Appreciate the hint about using /etc/rc.local which seems the equivalent of MS-DOS autoexec.bat I'm familiar with :D
I'll explore this approach further.

Thanks

Re: Minidlna 1.1.2 is released. apt-get installed 1.0.24

Hi rbiks,

Thanks for your help and apologize for the delay caused by my vacation.

I added the lines as told and executed the command

root@pi:/etc/init.d# insserv bootup
insserv: warning: script 'bootup' missing LSB tags and overrides

Is this the expected result?

Thanks Michael
