Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

Hansel, you rock 10950 running great here. Samba copies, playback, and IR remote working. Note: System updates are a pain due to changing sql table names. Have to reset the watched status for some of the recent viewings. Also, switched to older start.elf (as per your recommendation). Running great, ...

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

Does anyone have an IR Receiver working on anything newer than r10870?  I've tried r10902, r10912, r10918 with no luck.  The device gets detected in dmesg however, nothing shows up in /proc/bug/input/devices.

Maybe there is a compile flag I'm missing or something?  Anyone know?

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

So went home to check something on OpenELEC and since putting the r10902 kernel on, my IR remote stopped working.  It also didn't work on r10710.  However, I've had success last night with the r10870 kernel.  So for now, reverting back to r10870.

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

<t>Yeah I may have gotten lucky.  I did check the start.elf, bootcode.bin, and loader.bin for changes.  They were the same from the 10888 build.  I probably should have specified that those should be replaced as well.<br/> <br/> So far it seems as though System has been independent.  However, I'm su...

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

<t>You can just swap out the kernel and keep the rest of the files in tact.  In fact just did an online (ssh) kernel swap and so far looking good on r10902.  I'm still using a 10888 system.<br/> <br/> To swap out just the kernel online you can ssh into the box then do the following:<br/> <br/> mount...

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

<t>I wanted to confirm that it seems as though the latest build stability issues are with the new Kernel.  I followed Syde's comment and put an older kernel (I'm using 10710) with the later 10888 system.  So far I haven't seen any exceptions and have been up and running for over an hour with keyboar...

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

This is probably a stupid question, but on the git repo, how can I view what release this is per the commit that I'm on?  In other words, as I revert to older commits, how can I determine the release version?

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

<t>So far for my freezing issues, I've tried about 5 different adapters ranging from 5v 1A -> 5.3V 2A.  It didn't matter if I had a keyboard plugged in or not and it still was having freezing issues on 10870 and 10888.  I've switched to the debian build for the last 20 hours without restarts.<br/> <...
