Re: Pi2 Oscam

Generally follow this tutorial http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=20212

However don't use the dropchaches part and make sure you set max_usb_current=1 in /boot/config.txt

PM me if you get stuck

cheers

Re: Pi2 Oscam

What problems did you have on Raspbian? mine worked fine but then would crash every 12 - 24 hours.

thanks

Re: Emulation on the Raspberry Pi&Pi2 (Updated 24/01/2016)

I don't suppose you know how to get 720p stretched to fit the whole screen do you? Tried all sorts and can't seem to get it. and yes I know it won't be the right size etc etc, however I and the kids like it full screen 8-) If i select 720p 16:9 (DMT85) the game appears in a box in the centre (4:3). ...

Thanks fo the info!

Is there anywhere that explains all this 3x integer etc - it seems a bit of a minefield to set it up.

thanks

Re: Emulation on the Raspberry Pi&Pi2 (Updated 24/01/2016)

Just in case people haven't noticed it elsewhere: I've written a Pi friendly CRT shader for retroarch. It looks pretty good and runs at [email protected] on an suitably overclocked Pi (any version). Rather than repeat myself, here's some links to other forums: Info with screenshots on the libretro forum ....

Re: RetroPie/Emulation station 3.0

Thanks - spotted the bit I need.

Now does anyone how how the shaders work on RetroPie? Trying to get a scanlines overlay for the snes working (Pisnes does load much e.g Mario World won't load).

thanks

RetroPie/Emulation station 3.0

Hi, just installed it from the RetroPie Image. Questions: 1) How do you change fom the Snes9x emulator to the Pisnes emulator? The stuff I have found seems to relate to older versions of RetroPie. 2) Once changed how do you get it to use the Pisnes cfg file? 3) Can you boot directly to Emulation Sta...

Re: Wheezy + Jessie new style static IP question

What doesn't work for you when it comes to dhcpcd That's sort of the opposite to what we were asking you. Given that Raspbian is a Debian derivative, what changed in the OS so you needed to add dhcpcdd? For me the new system just makes a fairly simple premise massively over-complicated and counter ...

Re: Wheezy + Jessie new style static IP question

Any idea why the change was deemed to be needed? Were there thousands of complaints that the standard dchp/static system wasn't working? They did it to simplify the GUI which normally uses a DHCP address (but can edit files behind the scenes) and forgot that lots of folks run their RPis headless as...

Re: Wheezy + Jessie new style static IP question

OK well after a little research I ditched the ludricrous Raspbian dhcpcd attempt at networking and just disable it update-rc.d -f dhcpcd remove Changed the filename dhcpcd.conf to dhcpdc.conf.old (just to be sure) and used the standard /etc/network/intefaces method. Seems the Raspbian devs are tryin...

Wheezy + Jessie new style static IP question

Ok so i found out that usuing the standard linux way to create a static IP doesn't work anymore e.g. In "/etc/network/interfaces" change to something like: auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 network 192.168.1.0 gateway 192.168.1.200 dns-nameservers 8.8.8.8 Eas...

Re: Pi2 is flaky and keeps crashing

Earlier in this thread it was mentioned to "upgrade" the Raspbian Jessie. Does anyone know why? e.g why is Jessie an upgrade?

If Jessie is an upgrade, then why even produce Wheezy? Are they based on different Linux distros?

Re: Pi2 is flaky and keeps crashing

Disregard this link. It is written by someone who hasn't the faintest idea what they're talking about. It seems that the symptom is "unspecified USB/network outages". Is the Pi crashing? Is the USB bus going away? Is Ethernet just dropping out? What is the determinant for deciding that the Pi has e...
