I just installed a fresh copy of retro pie 4.1 and installed the drivers from the link above. The display works and shows the picture correct but touch is not working at all. In retropie 3.xx touch worked with this driver, has anyone got it working in 4.1?

Not sure about the electronics you posted about. But adafruit has some nice boosters that I use. PowerBoost 1000 and 1000X might be something to look at. But you say that your Pi draws 1A? That seems a bit high, do you have anything else connected to it, external drives? My pi2 draws maximum 0,5A. O...
