list of config.txt options

Could we get an official up2date list of the available options for config.txt? The elinux wiki page is the only real source for now, but it can be incomplete and outdated. There are many other options mentioned in this forum or in the firmware commits without explanation. For example display_rotate ...

Better to use a swap file instead of a parition. mkdir -p /var/cache/swap/ dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/cache/swap/swap0 bs=1M count=256 chmod 0600 /var/cache/swap/swap0 mkswap /var/cache/swap/swap0 swapon /var/cache/swap/swap0 in /etc/fstab: /var/cache/swap/swap0 none swap sw 0 0 vm.swappiness=0 in /etc...

Re: Upgrading Raspbian?

"apt-get dist-upgrade" should be used, because testing is rolling. Please post your /etc/apt/sources.list or correct your entrys http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianRepository Every image available should have the right sources preconfigured. Upgrading that way is safe most of the time, but ta...

Re: Unable to install transmission (bit-torrent client)

Transmission has just been updated to 2.52 in Debian wheezy and therefore transmission-cli 2.52 needs to be build in raspbian. transmission-common is already updated because it's architecture independend.
Wait a day or so and you can install it.

Re: Kernel compile time....?

As an aside, I doubt the class of the SD card is making that much of a difference, since it looks very much as if the the way the SD interface is being clocked in the R-Pi is set to a fixed (and relatively low) clock speed. The SD card clockspeed can be set with init_emmc_clock in config.txt, see h...

Re: Ethernet port turned off after few minutes

Try an other power cable. I have made the experience that some cables have too much resistance and are lowering the voltage. On the same power supply one gave me 4.90V and the other 4.66V.
