Re: WiFi Issues ? Start here !

I had forgotten to install the firmware. All set. Thanks for the help! Which you did using which command? As far as I remember I've never had to install any firmware for this driver. MrEngman apt-get install firmware-ralink firmware-realtek I wasn't sure which to install, so I grabbed both. I suspe...

Re: WiFi Issues ? Start here !

After installing the driver you need to reboot your Pi. To see if the driver is loaded you need to use command lsmod which list the modules loaded, not lsusb which shows the USB devices connected to the Pi. MrEngman I did a reboot immediately after the install script. Apologies for leaving that out...

I think you need the mt7610 driver. That is the driver I compile that includes your wifi's USB ID. filename: /home/pi/mt7610u_sta.ko version: 3.0.0.2 description: RT2870 Wireless Lan Linux Driver author: Paul Lin <paul_lin@ralinktech.com> license: GPL srcversion: 27B387AACC98D1C42FBA76D alias: usb:...

Re: WiFi Issues ? Start here !

Odd. Looks like the wifi is not being recognised by the driver. Did you reboot after loading the driver. If not reboot and check command lsmod again to see if the driver is loaded. If the lsmod command still does not show the driver, mt7610u_sta , try command modinfo /lib/modules/4.1.13-v7+/kernel/...
