New Server With R Pi 3

Hello, I'm looking into buying the new Raspberry Pi 3 to use as a web server for a small business. I tried the steps in the Raspberry Pi user guide, and I had lots of problems with that. Does anyone know how to make a successful web server out of a Raspberry Pi that will be public and has a domain n...

The terminal command made it so that when I went to http://localhost/phptest.php I got this message: 403 - Forbidden. :!:

Yes, I did mean "sudo" rather than "Sudo". I am using Jessie.

Thanks!

Re: RPI Web Server

See previous message.
Also, I Googled my IP address on a Mac on the same network and got the same answer. Perhaps it was the router's IP address? But still, if the localhost one didn't work, that means that something isn't right, correct? :?

Re: Pi Not Working Properly

Thanks for your help! What I ended up doing was just getting a standard 32GB SD card and backing up the files and reformatting the card; I figured that would be the easiest. But thanks again!

Thanks,

I did have it working fine for months, so did the SD just corrupt or something? I did make a backup, so I can format it now.

Pi Not Working Properly

Hello, Yesterday I used my Raspberry Pi for a power point presentation. I didn't change the resolution at all, but I had problems with it having 32 raspberries across the screen and no panel at the top of the screen. Also, nothing seems to be working right. I have WiFi, but if I type in a web addres...

Re: Raspbian Doesn't Read DVD

You can check to see if the license is enabled by using vcgencmd codec_enabled MPG2 vcgencmd codec_enabled WVC1 It should respond with "MPG2=enabled", or "WVC1=enabled". The WVC1 license if for things like recordings you've done with Windows Media Center. It uses DRM and you'll need the WVC1 licens...

Re: Raspbian Doesn't Read DVD

I have two SD cards. What I did was I used my 64GB Samsung SD card and ran Raspbian on it. I got my 16GB Kingston SD card (The one I needed the license keys on) and opened the config.txt file. I added a new line and pasted the license key into it. I did a different line for each license key. I added...

Re: HP Printer not Connecting

Yes, I used HPLIP. I also clicked on CUPS, and it opened Netsurf Web Browser. I'm not sure I understand how this works. Do I need to attach my R Pi to my printer again to finish CUPS? I saw a button that said "Add New Printer". I clicked on that and nothing happened. Do you know how to set up CUPS?...

Sound on Raspberry Pi

Hello,

I am having problems with getting my Raspberry Pi B+ to get sound. I use a DVI-HDMI cable for my Dell DVI monitor. I hear it is impossible to get audio through DVI, but the audio output (headphone jack) doesn't work either. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Re: RPi2 won't boot

Make sure that all the files you put on your SD card are outside of their folders. If you put the folders into the SD card with the files, it will not boot up. I use a R Pi 1 B+, and I had the same problem. I use a 16GB Kingston Micro SD card. So, when you download NOOBS, make sure that you explode ...
