Re: wireguard on raspian buster
I eventually figured out that under [Peer] i was putting the public key of the client when it should have been the public key of the server. This corrected the problem. Great! Good on you! Also thanks for posting your progress and solution. It will probably help others that may encounter a similar ...

Re: wireguard on raspian buster
The system shell is 64 bits also.
My thoughts are that the 64 bits headers are currently missing from the repo?

Re: wireguard on raspian buster
You are right!
It seems to be 64 bit architecture now.

Ah well, one learns everyday, even in old age!

Re: wireguard on raspian buster
RamaSpaceShip,
I did try "apt install raspberrypi-kernel-headers" and other kernels as well.
AFAIK, it is the standard raspbian for raspberry 4 that I only installed a couple of days ago and I thought this was still the 32 bit OS!?
Thanks for your interest and help anyway!

Re: wireguard on raspian buster
I had also heaps of problems trying to install wireguard on a raspberry pi 4 completely up-to-date. The errors were related to dependencies issues and unable to configure wireguard-tools and wireguard-DKMS. The solution provided by RamaSpaceShip after adding the backports to my apt-list: "sudo ...

Re: Unstable driver (?) for wireless keyboard and mouse..
I can confirm the same issue. The problem occurs with different brands of wireless mouses/keyboards (Logitech and Microsoft) and different brands of usb 3 ssd (Sandisk and Toshiba) combinations. No combination has been stable, all have displayed random instances of the mouse ceasing to respond. This...

Re: Buster pepperflashplugin
Using glances it shows the command that started the processes and in my case it shows:
"libpepflashplayer.so" followed by a number of arguments
There are a number of such processes started (in my case 10 with about 15 tabs open in the browser).

Re: Buster pepperflashplugin
I removed the file libpepflashplayer.so. Unfortunately it does not seem to disable the plugin. I have restarted chromium and it immediately spawn a series of processes with that name. I have absolutely no interest in running some flash stuff and would really like to disable or delete it. Is there an...

Re: Running Raspbian on USB Devices : Made Easy
Yes that was the problem and the solution was as simple as deleting the existing partition and starting again with no partition. Of course, ext4 would have worked as well. It is now copying the BOOT/ROOT.
Thanks very much for your help.

Thank you for your extremely prompt reply and interest. :) My device is brand new, out of the box, and I get the following when plugging it in the pi (but not on any other machine where it shows as exfat formatted): Error mounting /dev/sda1 at /media/pi/Extreme 500: Command-line `mount -t "exfa...

Re: unable ping any website Jessie Lite [SOLVED]
Dear lmarmisa,
You were absolutely right, the problem was the syntax error (router instead of routers). I am going blind in my old age.
Thanks heaps for your help.

unable ping any website Jessie Lite
I have spend more than a few hours trying to resolve this to no avail. A new installation of the latest Jessie Lite (2017-01-11). I have set a static ip on eth0 via the dhcpcd.conf and I can ssh to and from on the lan with no issues. I can ping any local device, but I cannot ping or connect to any i...

Re: Disk won't mount at boot up
OK, thanks, I'll butt out but still suspect that there is a relationship but am very willing to defer to experience. By the way the mount on the Raspberry is successful. I can write and re-read the drive, it simply does not show the pre-existing data although it does appear to mount successfully. An...

Re: Disk won't mount at boot up
Sorry to butt in, but I think I have a related issue. I have a RPi 2 wirh Raspian Jessie light (headless, of course) and an old trusty usb drive that I have been, and still am using daily for the last five years at least. I am also automounting it (with two partitions) an boot using UUID. Now, here ...

Ok, you got 5 days only. You could setup a website asking specifically for people to suggest projects that they would like done. The only cost will be the domain name registration unless you are happy with a sub-domain. You will need to pick-up how to: - set up a headless raspian on your pi. - set u...

Hello,
You should be able to connect any hdmi monitor or tv. Methinks, the small form monitors are more for people who want to make a self-contained application or system.

If it is of any help. I had a lot of similar problems with SD cards. In fact at one point I was unable to build a fresh os on any of my SD cards that would work. I had a cheapo card reader and thought maybe that was the source of the problem after having tried a variety of combinations of cards and ...

Jessie systemd autostart
I am getting into real problems coming to term with systemd and its documentation. The objective I have is a simple autostarting of a script on boot or after failure. I have the following files: /usr/bin/local/mdgdump: #!/bin/bash # BASE=/tmp PID=$BASE/mdgdump.pid LOG=$BASE/mdgdump.log ERROR=$BASE/m...
