Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Works fine for me on r11504 (just compiled it earlier today). But I am still having other problems... Namely with video addons, tried G4TV, Youtube, Engadget, all of them stutter a lot and are completely unwatchable... You can try to play the videos and post the log here and we can have a look. Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

NFS is certainly better (less overhead) than CIFS/SMB (the default Windows sharing protocol), it's possible that FTP might be more efficient still than NFS - never tried it myself though. I tried using FTP as a streaming protocol but this was a nightmare for me, but it might work for others. I am g...

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Loving OpenElec on the RPi! Just wanted to note that .mp4 files do not play for me on the latest test build (OpenELEC-RPi.arm-devel-20120623232506-r11392) whereas they do work on Raspbmc. When I try to load one it just keeps loading, but nothing happens and I eventually have to turn my Pi on and of...

Got to say r11392 is a good improve on speed. Going through settings is as fast as in my netbook.
Keep up the good work. :)

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

Also, I seem to be having difficulty playing h264 videos with main and baseline profile from youtube. They freeze xbmc and I have to either kill xbmc or reboot the pi.
Is it working for other people or is it even supposed to work?

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

I have the same problem and used to have it too when i tried building with 3.2.17 kernel previously. It seems the default kernel it uses now is 3.2.18 The fix might be the configuration file. The question previous to it. Patch physical to virtual translations at runtime (ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT) [N/y/?]...

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

Have to say the 11160 release(by Stephan) is pretty good. Also I used the usb flash drive as the System and Storage partition and that seems to make it more responsive as well.
Having some problems building it though

Re: OpenELEC build error

I seem to get the same error and I was successfully building few days before. So maybe the recent commits about Python optimizations created this bug. Seems to always occur so I think they are aware of it and are probably working on fixing it.

Hey all, I'm yet to receive my pi, but am getting everything ready for when it does (hopefully next week). Most people have reported that the menus are quite slow, especially in the Confluence skin.
