I have the same problem. I'm about 8 meters from my router and I have almost no signal(doesn't change if I use my case or not). I cannot use a wifi dongle because my 4 usb ports are already in use. I have tried updating the pi but it doesn't fix my problem.

Anyone got luck ?

Thank you for your reply davidcoton, I can't find the specs but here is a link to those LED strips. (http://store.antec.com/led-lighting/accent-lighting-red.html) From what I've read on forums you can't actually shut down the power on the usb ports. Is there any way I can turn on or off the LED stri...

I have the same question. We got four usb ports, could we power four usb led strips (25-50cm) ?
If not could I power four individual usb lights ?
