Re: Latest Version of Firefox(and Thunderbird) on a Raspberry Pi

And I just ordered a Rock64 last night, 4 GB of RAM finally. I tried a 2GB version of the Rock64, but for me Ubuntu Mate didn't work, the Android image that was supposed to be stock turned out to be mostly Android TV, when I tried to live with the Android TV image the remote app needed wifi and did...

Re: Latest Version of Firefox(and Thunderbird) on a Raspberry Pi

It worked before, and right now the build that comes with Ubuntu MATE for the Raspberry Pi doesn't work either. It was because the build that you found was outdated, not how it was built.

Re: Latest Version of Firefox(and Thunderbird) on a Raspberry Pi

The same thing happens on Ubuntu MATE that has it preinstalled, so it isn't a problem with Raspbian.

Re: Latest Version of Firefox(and Thunderbird) on a Raspberry Pi

What about ff nightly? I've found https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ubuntu/ppa and added its key, then updated. No errors and apt lists this source during update but when I try to install any package from there it is not found. Would love to try firefox 57 with servo as using fir...

Ben,

Might not be the project you intend but you could use your Pi as a 'server', SMB, SSH or similar. The anything connected to your Pi by USB can be available on the network.

Geffers
That's a good Idea. I'll try it.

Raspberry Pi 2 as USB Hub

I have a computer with only 2 usb ports and a Raspberry Pi 2 lying around. Is there a way to make it into a USB hub? Thanks in advance. EDIT: This is a kind of project that I'm doing, which is why I don't care whether it's easy to do or not. I just want to do it, not buy something that has it done f...

No, 50.0 in the link above I was talking about which is working fine, and your posting, instructions page one in this thread (which is 54) is not working as it should, its defect. "Firefox had a problem and crashed." Just test it a bit, you'll see ;) I see what you mean. I ran it in the terminal an...

Re: Latest Version of Firefox(and Thunderbird) on a Raspberr

If, after your investigating it, you still can't run it without sudo, in Raspbian you can change an application in the menu's command by right clicking on the application's icon, clicking Properties, going to Desktop Entry, and changing it where it says Command:.
