Re: Problem with NOIR camera and BUSTER

⇨ https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=245994 Thanks Hermann. The problem is that i'm using piCamera python libraries and i don't know how to set "greyworld", or if it's even possible to do so. Moreover, i'm using Pi Noir V2 on an old Rapberry Model B..i don't know if can be a pr...

Re: New AWB algorithm in test firmware

Same issue here. I 'm using Pi Noir Camera v2 and Buster just updated. I'm also using an IR light. I have purple video.
I tried :
sudo vcdbg set awb_mode 0
but i have strange behaviour. Most of the time the video is black and white (as it should be) but time to time it turns to purple again.

Re: Problem with NOIR camera and BUSTER

Same issue here.
My setup is a Raspberry pi model B, Pi Noir camera v2 and Buster just updated .
Recording a video with a IR light but images are purple.
The other day, same camera, raspberry pi 2 model B and a bit older Buster, everything was fine.

Re: raspberry pi 2 B model + RPI GSM ADD-on v2.0

First of all, thanks for your post domen.petric...it helped me in doing some step further in making SIM800 ADD-ON working on my raspberry pi (something not really straightforward). I don't know if it's just my problem, but, important thing, i had to unplug the SIM800 hat from raspberry and powering ...

Re: Lock Screen Menu Item In Buster

... ah yes..the Main Menu Editor is a more elegant solution...i just had some troubles finding it. So i downloaded the icon from here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gnome-lockscreen.svg I've copied it in /usr/share/icons (i haven't found any subfolder more appropriate) and created a new "Lock"...

Re: Lock Screen Menu Item In Buster

It doesn't work for me...both of methods... I have raspberry pi 4 with raspbian buster Something has changed. Works on my 3B+ but not on my 4B. It was a bad idea to direct edit the panel file anyway as it is subject to being overwritten in an update. There is even a warning at the top of the file. ...

Re: Astro Pi Temperature Sensor Reading

I used a tall stacking header https://www.adafruit.com/products/1979 and put it between my Pi and sense hat. I soldered a proto board to it https://www.adafruit.com/products/2310 Now my temps read ambient. I now also have a spot to mount my RTC module and a few other odds and ends with easy access ...

Re: Astro Pi Temperature Sensor Reading

had my sense hat mounted on a Black Hat hacke3r Mini Kit and it worked without issue? Raspberry Pi A+. Raspbian Jessie. If your running Wheezy, the matrix will light up and just stay on until you do some updates and the sense hat support files. EDIT: Are you sure you didn't get the ribbon cable bac...

Re: Astro Pi Temperature Sensor Reading

The heat pipe would keep the sensor temperature much closer to the temperature at the other end of the pipe, minimizing the effect of warm components near the sensor. It's the same principle as the heat pipe you find attached to the CPU in a laptop, except that one is about removing heat produced b...

Re: Astro Pi Temperature Sensor Reading

It's not an option for the ISS use case but for home use you can connect the astropi via a 40-way ribbon cable and a male-male adaptor. I'll add a photo of my setup when I get to the office. OK - picture - IMG_0161.jpg I'm actually using a 40pin stacker header that passes through the astropi socket...

Re: Astro Pi Temperature Sensor Reading

I agree with pashworth that there is a relevant design issue in the sense hat. The temperarute reading is clearly not accurate because of the raspberry cpu heating. And it's not easy to connect the sense hat with a 40 pin cable in order to avoid heating. For example while i was trying to transform t...
