Re: Rpi on a Windows Network

Hi People, Lendel starts this thread by 1) expressing concern that he does not want to spend his life typing mile long command lines every time he want to do something and 2) that his Windows share is giving his hassles. 1) IMHO the alias provides A FRIGHTENINGLY EASY solution to 1). I do not have a...

Re: Variable voltage regulator for Raspi?

There seems to be a reluctance to power the RPi from batteries and some complexity in maintaining 5V feeds to the RPi. I have put an RPI on my robot (MF-17) to enable wireless control and hopefully some level of AI in the future. After adding two 5xAAA rechargeable packs to each of his feet I have 2...

Re: Acceptable input voltages for power?

Brat.ibr, It is not clear what circuit you use. I'm assuming you use one of the convertors in the post from Emma. With that 6.34 V on the output of the buck convertor, you may have not set the output level correctly. You can adjust the output level with nothing attached to it yet. Keep in mind also...

Re: Acceptable input voltages for power?

As rurwin says, don't forget the heatsink.  It needs to get rid of 2 to 3 watts just powering the RP. If you are running from 6 cells then almost half of the battery power is being converted to heat in a linear regulator.  If that is a concern the consider something like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3...

Install MP3 Codec board

MP3 recorder B.jpg Hi, I bought a LC Technology MP3 sound card .JPG attached. If it is possible could someone please tell me how to connect this to my RPi 2. The first requirement for my (never ending !) project is to be able to use the mike into a VTT program. Once I get it connected I will procee...
