Re: Raspi Mame Binaries?

Yes hopefully a graphics driver will solve all these issues.

As it stands I think only 8-bit type game emulation will work reasonably (i.e. NES, Master System etc). For those wanting to emulate 16-bit (SNES, Megadrive/Genesis) or above will simply have to wait.

Re: Raspi Mame Binaries?

Hi I followed the exact article as you did to build both advmame 0.160.0 and 0.160.1 with no such compile errors (Class 6 and Class 10 SD Cards) although it does take the best part of 6hours to make on the Rpi Are you positive you didn't miss a step from that article? Actually this step I didn't run...

Advance MAME (Findings so far)

Just thought I would share my findings so far with regards to AdvanceMame on the Raspberry Pi. I got AdvanceMame up and running following the great work by Nick Miller (cheers Nick) and the comments in his blog. The blog can be found here. http://1337technophile.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/easier-to-comp...

(!) DirectFB/Util: opening '/dev/fb0' failed

Hi, I'm having trouble running AdvanceMame from the command line (i.e without having to "startx") When I try to launch advmame (logged in as "[email protected]") I get all sorts of the DirectFB error messages. I can run AdvanceMame fine if I start the GUI first (startx) and run it from LXTerminal. I re...

Well that's another problem as most of the roms I've tried don't work. I did get 1941 to run buth that had serious performance problems. I will try space invaders, galaga, galaxian etc and report back

AdvanceMame Performance

Hi,

I've managed to get AdvanceMame running on my Rpi but it's awfully slow (unusable in fact). I'm using the latest Debian image from the Downloads page.
Has anyone managed to get AdvanceMame working on their Rpi with decent performance?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Ordered mine from RS this morning around 11:30 and no problems with website.

Order number 23xx

I'm assuming we're all in that 4,000 batch (from the original 10k) ??
