Re: Exposure times - Exif problems

I'm referring to the setting:

--exposure, -ex Set exposure mode

Re: Exposure times - Exif problems

Solved it for 800/900/1000! Thanks a lot!

I didn't force the mode before. Just kept it auto.
Have to set the values for everything above 1 second to -md 3 then now!

Any chance some when exposure mode can be set to manual? ;)
Would be nice to measure the linearity of the sensor!

Exposure times - Exif problems

Hey, I'm taking a various series of shots. Ranging from 200ms to 6s. I noticed some values (800ms, 900ms and 1000ms test so far) are written as 760.6ms in to Exif Data. I'm not sure if it's just wrong information in Exif or the camera can't set the shutterspeed settings right. Works fine for other e...

Re: RAW output information

Thanks for the input!

But where is the point, the wrong decoding happens? rpi_dng?

Re: RAW output information

I'd also say avoid the really long exposure time mode Need the long exposure time to measure it's dark noise correctly. I'm doing this for my bachelor thesis. You can see the amount of dark noise is getting significantly higher with longer exposure times, if you compare the histogram of my shot wit...

Re: RAW output information

I was using ISO 800 and a shutter speed of 5s.

Just got the info, my sensor was previously used to measure it's noise behavior over a temperature range from 283,15 K to 343,15 K. But that's still inside the specifications of the OV5647

Re: RAW output information

Hey Folks, I was taking dark images to measure dark noise of the sensor. The histogram of the images isn't really Poisson alike, what I would expect. I'm importing them as dng with Matlab, they are scaled up to fit in an 16bit unsigned integer array. What you see is the histogram of and dark shot, c...
