Hello,
If your using Raspbmc and its the codec licenses you want to enter then go to the programs tab on Raspbmc, then Raspbmc settings, look for the system configuration tab, scroll down and you will be able to enter the MPEG2 codec license and the VC1 license,

I cant help with surround sound but for XMBC I'm just trying out Raspbmc, looks very good and really easy to install,

Hi I have a Belkin 4 port powered usb hub (F5U234) that powers my Raspberry, I have my Edimax wifi, keyboard and mouse plugged into the hub, my Pi is plugged into the hub from its usb port and also has another connection from the hub to the micro usb power connector on my Pi and this seems to work o...

hi,
i'm a complete newbie and not sure if this is quite what your looking for but when i wanted to update my sd card with the latest image i used SD Formatter, https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/ it will delete all files and partitions
